HICAS light came on

When i jumped in the car for work I noticed about 5 mins after the hicas light came on after about 20 mins of driving it turned off ???????????

pls explain???

Another question how many types of HICAS locking kits are their, if their is many whats is usually the better one

First thing I'd do is check your power steering fluid levels. The light will come on if the levels are low.

see here is the plight of the mighty four door, many (mainly me) refer to the HICASII system in the cefiro as the "achiles(SP?) heel" of the sidetaxi, here your car will go in a downward spiral of mishapping power steering problems causing you to tear your hair out.

basically what may have happened is there has been a rupture in some section of the two hoses which run directly under the engine, one is for front wheels, the other is for hicas,

this is best seen to by a pirtek technician or a replacement part but i it';s a C*nt to replace because you bascially have to get the engine out

that is of course if the hose is ruptured which is what happened to me...

in which case there's not much for me to do but...

I know a mate a pirtek so i should be right if this is the case, The line run under the engine best getting from under neath??
