looking to buy a r32 from melbourne then get it shipped up here to brisbane.

only problem is that would it have to see an engineer again or could a registered mechanic just give it a roadworthy cert straight up? it will still have the vic plates on it so im hoping this is what can happen

I don't mean to sound rude, but you'd be better off ringing Qld Transport.

I moved a 180SX from NSW to QLD a few years ago and it had to go to the Qld Transport pits and be checked by their engineer. Straight-forward process, just lots of time required for all the stuffing around.

I've shipped an R34 from Melbourne to Brisbane. The car were unregistered at that time. But in Brisbane, got no problem. Just get the mechanic to issue road worthy certificate, and then take it to QLD transport for inspection that the engine no and the vin no matched. and it's all good.

My Dad is looking for an R34 GT-T but the only ones we've found at carsales are all in Queensland. Many of which are automatic four doors all in silver. We came across a white R34 in Melbourne that was pretty modified with a for sale sticker. That one seems like a good option but we would prefer a stock R34.

Grab a copy of Unique Cars or similiar mag. Even if you don't want to buy privately, you'll find a yard in Melbourne that deals in imports. Spare a thought for us in Tassie, to my knowledge we don't have an import dealer at all in the state.
