I bought a front cut of a r32 gts-t a month ago. Only to find out it was a r32 gt-four front cut.

Now I found out today from my mechanic. That it's a different engine and it's not all gonna bolt up. Something to do with the sump or some shit.

So i'll cut my loses and sell it, I'm looking for $1100 but no less than $1k

It is missing the front struts, radiator, qtr panels and headlights. As that is the way it came, even though he said it was only missing the qtr panels.

I am also willing to trade for an rb20det (from gts-t) with loom. I don't need the box as I have a 25 box already, or I will trade for an rb25det with loom and turbo with a cash adjustment from my behalf.

engine's virtually the same... sump is different as it has a front diff goin thru it. Converting it to fit a RWD car is the exact same process as modifying an RB26DETT to fit into a RWD car.

do you have the details on converting it to a rwd car and rough cost to do the conversion? As I don't want to sell it if It can be converted rather easily.

I have an aftermarket sump on my old rb20det engine. My mechanic seems to think that it can't be swapped. I should have taken pics of what he was talking about.

But if someone wants to swap or buy it off me over the next few weeks then I will do it. I just want my car back on the road a.s.a.p. It's been off the road since mid October

How many klms and condition?

I trust your judgement though, as you were going to use it on your car. Dude...change mechanics!!! I am sure can change the sump, however there will be a few holes remaining here and there.

Let me know if you need to sell and I'll bail you out!

it has 91k on the clock. I'll post up exact kms tomorrow. It doesn't have a problem starting, waiting for my mechanic to do a compression test. Maybe a leak down test as well. I'm having 2nd thoughts about selling the cut seeing it can be down if I cut the front diff and axles and welded it back up.

Will let you know and thanks for the offer :P

  • 3 weeks later...
Pic of bottom of 4WD block. the small holes are for the 2WD sump. and the large on the outside are 4WD ones. hope it helps.

thanks very much Dsturbed and Gilly, they really do help. I just have to work out if it's worth selling it or modify the sump. I just need to find someone who can do it for cheap
