what skylines in australia have the most power at the wheels?both gtr & gtst?

Are you talking outright figures?Or road rego'd,dyno-queen,drag car(which would prolly be the outright record,I'm guessing...)?I think RB30-POWER would be right in saying Mario's R33,GTR-700,would be it,but then again,I've never seen an official dyno sheet...drag racers are really coy about letting figures be known! Most are happy to talk up their "easy 800kw" cars, but LeeWah's is about the biggest hitter(GTR) in Oz,that I can think of,that has a printout to prove it.

In Oz, there is without a doubt the Mario's GTR700 is the most powerful.

I guess you could split this into 2 different categories, race and street regoed cars.

In the race category I'd put the following (as judged by ETs and trap speeds):

GTR700 R33 GTR

Kier Wilson R32 GTR

Munro R33 GTR

In the street category, I'd include the following:

Theo's R32 GTR

LeeWah R33 GTR

RacePace R33 GTR

Ice Performance R32 GTR *

IWIN R33 GTR *

* - Has not recorded a time on the drag strip but publically run dyno runs have been recorded.

Nowhere did I mention I had more power than IWIN. IWIN was mentioned on the list of most powerful cars.

I was only judging a cars power by drag strip times as dynos read differently depending on calibration so the only way of getting a half accurate reading is at a drag strip. IWIN (as far as I know) has not made a pass down the strip so it was hard to tell where it would fit in the World of Powerful GTRs.

A while ago,the guys from Sub Zero in QLD had a head kicking GTS-T...can't remember power figures exactly, but it was a tough unit...I'll zip through my Zoom mag's to see if I can dredge it up,even if it's only a reference point...

That would have been TRY-09 which ran some very tidy numbers in QLD. There was an article for it in HPI awhile back too.

Oh and OBEHAVE and BIGPSI (I believe which is a GTS-T) are another couple powerful GTS-Ts running around and pulled nice numbers on the strip. There is also another red 3L GTS-T running around Melb owned by a certain FunBoy looking Fang Artist.

I was only quoting GTRs as I don't follow the GTS-T scene as much. If someone else wants to list the most powerful GTS-Ts going around, feel free :(

thanks for the input. I have an r32gtst that makes 779.7rwhp hopefully in the next couple of months ill run it down the strip.  thats why i asked for gtst as well.

Frig, that is a big number. Obviously not a RB20.

Any specs you want to share, RB26DET or RB30DET?

HOLY CRAP! I take it there's a dyno sheet to back you up? That can't be a RB20.. Whadda ya got? Or are you waiting to spring a suprise on someone?

    • Hi all! Looking to relocate the battery to the trunk of an R34 GTT. I want to do it using as many stock GTR components as I can (including the harness protectors from the 34 GTR that run underneath along the chassis to the engine bay). So far I’ve purchased the battery tray from a 33 GTR, as the captive weld nuts are already there just asking to be used. There is also the slight issue of now having to relocate the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU, which in GTT’s sits right above where the battery will then sit on the tray. Has anyone already achieved this, and if you have any pics that you wouldn’t mind sharing? It would be great to see how others have done it and where you put them, as there are countless holes in the parcel shelf panel to potentially use. Just trying to get some ideas bounced around, and to help uncover any potential problems I may encounter by  my choice of location. TIA for any help!
