Does anyone know an easy way to separate the exhaust housing from the chra on an rb25 turbo.

I have tried soaking with wd40 and leaving

Giving a light tap with a hammer (scary cast)

Putting in the vice and twisting in all manner of ways but it wont budge, I cant even turn it.

I figure there may be a trick, does anyone know it?

Cheers

Put the exhaust housing in the vice and tap on the back of the compressor housing with a rubber mallet. Worked for me.

Just make sure you rotate the turbo and pop it off evenly or you could bend/crack the turbine wheels if the housing comes off at an angle due to the tight clearences.
