urgent needed the sensor on cat

i urgently need the sensor that hooks up to the cat mine has been cut and my mechanic says $200 and 10 days wait from japan and need this to get over pits any help would be apprecaited borrow give whatever..

I don't see why you would need it? Isn't it the one that just senses if the cat overheats?

If you're desperate to get it over the pits, just weld the hole up and clean it up nicely, the pit inspectors wont even know that anything is meant to be there, and then just put it in later if you need it.

I know James (D1 garage) had one laying around late last year, as I borrowed it to get my car over the pits in SA. Shouldnt want much in the way of $$ for it, as generally they are considered nothing more than balast.

just thta the pit inspector allready picked it out put it on the sheet things to rectify so i cant exactly hide it ....

How the hell did you *ahem* your friend get away with that? I thought busting people for emissions related problems was a pit inspectors wet dream!!

91 silvia K's - i think the inspector was just sick of seeing cars being yellowed for no reason.

Sorry to whore your thread loz - if you are in a hurry you may want to call around some of the workshops like Hyperdrive and SST. Also I believe MrMayhem's name pops up quite often for parts.

I still cant believe they picked you for that ! Is it listed on your work order? if not try going to another pits and they will most likely overlook it.

well it is the first time registering it and the cable was hanging near the cat and had bin cut so he picked that right away and said that the cat probably been gutted..

can you go to another pits and get put over with the things bin rectifed or do i have to go back to the same pits it was the kelmscott pits and he kept my engineers report as well..?
