lol cool, next mailing list I'll be definite to include a couple of DR30's for you guys to perve at. If you're not on the mailing list join up and I'll send it out tonight... www.j-spec.com.au

they're just examples that we pick, but it should give you an indication of what's available on the market. If you're serious about importing one, give us a call.

Hey Shan. I'm not importing the car anymore, but can you import rims? I've found a set. Also i've heard the perps at yahoo auctions won't sell to you unless you can communicate with fluent japanese. Any way around this?

Generally they won't sell to you unless you are in Japan or have a contact who can both speak Japanese and has a Japanese contact address.

If you can get someone who lives there to make the arrangements, ship the item to them, then ship it here. A friend of mine does just that with his car parts, he's brought in rims, grilles, lights, badges, mirrors etc for his TE37 Levin corolla that way.

I purchased my R32 GTS-4 from the Yahoo auctions with assistance of Prestige Motorsports. The only problem I found was the lack of info prior to the auction, whereas the other auctions seem to more detailed and you tend to have a better idea what you are buying (less chance of importing a piece of shit). I was thorougly happy with my purchase, and when I finally got it, there were heaps more goodies than I was aware of. Just be careful and find out as much info as you can before you bid/buy a yahoo auctions vehicle.

if you get in on the auctio early you can post questions to the seller. Also you can contact the seller and have a mechanic go out and inspect it. Its just all about timing, shouldn't leave whole car auctions to the last minute.

yahoo might not be the best place to chase up new stuff... I'll have a look on yahoo for you, but I think I know a couple of shops over there that might do a good price on new clutches. Are you after any brand in particular?

    • Hi soviet_merlin, We appreciate your concern regarding this possibly being some sort of PR/Political hype, I assure you that is not the case, I wish we could claim something like that, but in this case, we merely reached out for comment on the basis of the outrage we too felt, as those heavily in the automotive industry. Ps. the original source in the social media post is CarExpert not CarExplore.    Best, CE.
    • Made a bit of a discovery, but while I was cruising, I randomly decided to test to see if it worked and it showed up on my IC7. The entire time I tested it before, I never thought to turn the ignition on. I only tested it with head lights turned on but with the ignition off. Huge oversight on my end. I’m a dummy. I know.
    • G'day all, I have drilled and tapped the hole for the relocation of the timing belt tensioner. That was straight forward. I'm unsure if I need to also put another hole for the smaller stud that the spring behind the tensioner catches on (this is how it seems to work in its original spot). Or do you not use the spring behind it and just torque it down? Thanks in advance, I did a search but couldn't find anything related and it doesn't mention it in the rb30det sau guide.
    • Hi All,  just thought I would provide an update as I know smooth (Matt) was on this forum from 2003.    my brother Matthew passed away end of may 2024 at the age of 41 from liver failure. I am not sure how many of his original team krazy friends are still on here or active but thought it reasonable to let the forum know.    if you have any photos or pictures it would be great if you could share them.    it took me a while to work out he was active on here.    thanks so much
