They are seriously crap.

Spend $150 and buy a 2W, "AA" (not bloody "AAA") battery powered Uniden. Or if you feel like splurging, buy the battery pack to go with it.

I think the gold coast people need to decide on a meeting spot! Or I'll make one for you Yatala Pies at 7:30 leaving at 7:45. There ya go, head up the freeway, take the gateway motorway exit, follow along until you get to the Wynnum Road exit. Turn left at the bottom onto Wynnum Road, follow along until you see a big shopping centre carpark on the left, turn left at the intersection with the BP and Red Rooster at opposite corners. Turn second left AFTER the first set of lights and that's the Bunnings carpark.  

There you go, all done.
