Hey there,

I was wondering if anybody had compiled a list of standard service parts for the M35 that were obtainable in Aus? Or is it a case of buying from either NZ or Japan?

Thanks very much,

Brendan

Would be useful, but;

1) How much time do you have?

2) Isn't that what FAST is for? - if you don't have it, just give a Nissan service guy your VIN & he can look the part number up.

and then there are still conflicts, such as spark plugs

Can some body tell me which spark plugs does the Rb26 DETT uses for standard? Thanks for the help.

Here you go, Yudy!

Has anyone had to replace a sunroof rubber on an M35?

I've been giving the windows a workout over the past week and a bit and the rear rubber appears to have broken slightly :D

Anyone have a code/price on this one?

Hopefully it can be replaced with a cheap after market job, not sure how universal that size of sunroof is tho.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

But the part numbers for shift soleniod A & B are . A = 31940-4ax02 . B = 31940-4ax05 . Be sure which one you need A=$350 incl trade B=$415 incl trade . So ther goes my ruddy check .

anyone done the cabin air filter on M35 Stagea. Went in to repco here, no listings, que too long at nissan dealership. Took some rough measurements was about 195mmx215mmx30mm. Would like to think it would be same size or part as one of the other more commen models???? forgot to ask them for one to measure up against DOH!

Also what is the standard battery fitment for M35 stagea??? Dealer put new one in when purchased 1 month ago (holler for a marshall), looks bit small and sounds slow to crank engine over. Had to get a jump start other day after a 60km non stop trip, no lights on etc. Have since charged it up and recovered, seems ok but that battery looks way to small (will put size up later). Seems plenty of room in box to put something bigger in. Thanks

I always think standard batteries are too small. I generally get the biggest one I can fit in, even if it means changing the tray, terminals and the fitting for holding it down ( get universal ones from any auto parts place).

M35 air con filter is HERE

Standard battery is a small one.

I had mine replaced nearly 2 years ago with the same size one from RACV.

Been working perfectly since.

mines the original factory one from japan, hasnt missed a beat since i got the car

I would probably still have mine as well, if not for flicking the "fog" lights on one arvo and ignoring the beeeeeeepppppp (I was in one hell of a hurry).

Got back to the car in the morning with a dead battery.

....Idiot :)

/smacks you in head lol

it happens mate. i had a turbo timer in my S15 (bought it like that, personally i think they are useless) and used to drive with my lights on a lot. got to work, removed key, locked car. walked away. came back with a flat battery. happened a few times before i disabled the TT lol

    • She's looking good Greg. Colour suits it perfectly 👍
    • I had a look at the FAB9 EFR kit, around $8500 AU before delivery, so add in shipping, installation, consumables and tuning, I believe the price difference would be negligible  And whilst I am paying top dollar at MX5 Mania, if I have any issues with the kit they are local for support,  and from my experience, will happily go out of their way to help, hell, I've purchased parts from them and asked "how do I install or remove parts" and they have fitted a few of them for free, this means more to me than saving a few thousand dollars And yes, 99% of the time I just plod around in the car, that may change once I start hearing turbo whooshy noises, but, as I have 3 family members is the constabulary, even when I'm up it, it is only up to the speed limit, or occasionally, but rarely, overtaking on the Hwy (I just plod in the left lane typically and enjoy the drive) Plus the kids would never let it go if I got booked speeding, Jackie is constantly getting critiqued by the kids about her driving, which I think is hilarious, and tell them that she is "bringing shame to our family", so heaven forbid if I ever got done speeding, after all my mouthing off about her driving, I would never live it down, and it would be another thing she would bring up any chance she got Like the time I got drunk about 15 years ago and fell out of a cab, which gets brought up at least a few times every year since it happened Good times
    • True, might get it looked at. Found out you can in fact flatten the 12v battery relatively easily too the other day (kids lefts the hazards on) so meaning to get that checked in the new year. What's odd is it'll blow cold from both vents if you have the ac down as low as poss (18), but anything else the passenger one blows warmish. Also has been summer since I got it obvs but noticed it didn't seem to want to blow hot last night when we had a cold snap.
