M35 air con filter is HERE

Standard battery is a small one.

I had mine replaced nearly 2 years ago with the same size one from RACV.

Been working perfectly since.

Thanks mate. Supercheap auto NZ said they dont do nissan air filters, Repco couldnt find anything with that number on side of filter in pic from that link. Went to nissan dealer, same again that number not in system. Asked the parts girl to grab me a maxima one to measure up on a guess they may be same size. Problem solved. Nissan Part number B727A-79925.

Battery is LM40CP (Marshall), gave good charge up seems to be hanging in there ok but will try and shoehorn something bigger in at some stage.

Also the little plastic inserts that hold all the plastic panels together, how much abuse do these things take? :P Or do you just screwdriver em and replace??? :P:) Have sussed how they work with ones you can get at both sides from but wondering how to attack the others :D I am mechanically minded but most of my work has been on motorbikes and trucks. Also which side of engine is oil filter located as i can not for the life of me see it yet :P

Thanks in advance :D

Engine oil filter - AY100-NS004 (yes, they are quite small)

Engine Air Filter - AY100-NS001

Spark Plugs - NI22401-AQ816

Fuel Filter - 16400-4M405

The fuel filter is in the front left (when looking from the grill) side of the engine.

You will need to go from underneath to get to it.

Plastic clips are quite durable for what they are. to pop them off, slide a flat head screwdriver under the edge of the "head" of the clip and gently rotate the screwdriver on each side. The main pin will eventually pop up and you can remove it without breaking it.

You can get them just about anywhere - workshops, Nissan (have been quoted from 60c up to $2.20 each depending on dealership).

Thanks guys, re the fuel filter, i think you have given me the part number for the tank screen as per that other thread after having a look at, and after reading the other post i think a part number for the o-ring would be good to thanks and the engine bay fuel filter thanks.

Can anyone recommend any online parts retailers for stuff like filters etc that ship to NZ, found one a few weeks ago but cant find it again on search, had like a oz/nz flag banner across top of screen. They seemed to cover many parts and actually had stagea in their search tools.

What engine bay fuel filter?

I believe that the screen acts as the filter in our cars.

You could go with RHDJapan. They will ship OE parts from Japan anywhere (you have to specify what you need), or a Nissan dealership should get you parts in (at a price).

A japanese auction site with translate function, heaps of interesting pics of various parts. Good to see what they pay for various bits.

Doh! here's the link- http://www.rinkya.com/full_list.php?$result=9000

OK, I need to replace my outer CV joint boot and I think I have found the part number for it (39641 or 39641-A, not sure what the difference is), but I'd like to know what other Nissans use this part number so I know what to ask my local parts supplier for. Is there any way to find out through FAST???

not sure what else uses them.

the easier way is to pull the driveshaft and take it to Sydney Driveshafts in Kings Park (just around the corner for you). They reco them including both boost and regrease for 75 a side.

No worries, Duncan, I'll give them a buzz tomorrow.

Just for future use, does anyone know how to cross-refererence parts in FAST between different models?

You will need Parts Master, Nick.

It may have come with your copy of FAST.

Just enter the part number and it will show up all the Nissan model/engine that use that part.

Here is an example of how the information is displayed (V35 throttle body)

    • You've just discovered a really good reason to tell yourself, yes, I do need to buy an aftermarket ECU. Put the MAF in the bin. Slap in the new ECU and have a think about what turbo sounds you prefer.  Do you want a 90's style BOV wooosh? Do you want a hektik tsututututu?  Mate, can't go wrong. Just gotta get that ECU and the world is your oyster.
    • Hi. Iam just curisou about this topic. I saw this video. It is about Greddy Type FV2. I know that BoVs are about that sound but how and when to use it? I read some topic here and from what i have understand on stock RB with MAF there will be some "problems" if you use this BoV? It vents the air in to the atmosphere and the MAF on stock car needs this air back in to the intake and not out? Or is it wrong? If so...i saw you can put some adaptor to circule air back...but does that not "loose" that sound? I saw another BoV from Turbosmart and it has two "exhaust" like ports? One is for the stock tubing for letting air back and one is for "sound" and let the air in the atmosphere? Can someone please explain? This is the Greddy one:  And this is the Turbosmart.     THANK YOU!! EDIT: So i read about this topic some more and i if i understand that correctly: That Greddy can function either like BoV or 100% Bypass valve? And that Turbosmart is what they called hybrid so you can adjust what and how many air can be vented out or back in? Is this right? THX!
    • That dirty voltage drop is the culprit I suspect
    • i cant get them all in 1 screenshot unfortunately as i just dont know how to move things around tbh, but they are all from the same log and the line crosses at the same point for all of them
    • It's about time I start work on my sun tan. So I knocked up a few parts that will all combine together to become my new power steering reservoir. Now just to produce an abundance of UV and IR rays while melting a heap of bits of alu to become one... Well, that's after I put one more hole in it for the return line to plumb to. It likely won't be this weekend, as Sunday I'm meant to be in doing some last minute stuff to the AMG race car, and the weekend after will be filled with non my Skyline stuff, followed by Bathurst 6 hour. So I don't expect to get to melt metal for at least 3 weeks.   I also managed to stuff up and start cutting the hole for the res to pump pipe on the wrong side of the line... It means instead of the lines being nice and tight against the inner guard, they'll be out off the guard.    The size of it means I should end up with about 1.8L of power steering fluid, and still have space for another half a litre before it reaches the overflow/breather. This is wayyyyyyy more capacity than factory, which should help keep Powersteer oil temps lower, and the design hopefully allows it to prevent any aerated oil being able to makes its way down to the bottom as it'll have a couple of baffles and some hopeful trickery to force air bubbles away from the bottom.
