rs73
Believe it or not, they're selling these at 6,000,000 YEN in Japan.... Can't be bothered to convert that to our $ but if R33 GT-R are selling at 2 - 2.5 Yen, then you can imagine how much these thing cost... 3 to choose from If anyone read the latest HPI, the special issue GT-R... there's some short article about these first GT-Rs. rs73
any legendary old cars are deemed to be expensive.... even in Jap they're crazy abt mini morris, expect to pay the same price of a R33 GT-R for one of the old mini in good nick Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/6164-old-school-gt-r/#findComment-93371 Share on other sites
Guest ylwgtr
hmmm dunno about that one dude.......from what i have seen.... the japanese seem to go through stages in regards to old cars...forexample once an S600 honda was worth a mint....then by the time you found one here in aust..tidyed it up and sent it O/S the price had diminished somewhat...... I remember they were goin nutz for type 2 vw's! i mean farkin hell!!!!But the KCG10 will always be the "in" thing Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/6164-old-school-gt-r/#findComment-93374 Share on other sites

Guest air
Originally posted by rs73 so you reckon our R32/R33 will cost the same in 20 yrs time.... if so better keep em immaculate! I recently did a website for someone who owns 2 Packard Twin-Sixes. One is a 1916 model. The other is a 1934 model. The 1916 model is valued at approx ~$5,000,000 AUD. The 1934 model is valued at an even higher $8,000,000 AUD. The reason the 1934 model is worth more is because it is the only 1934 model left in showroom condition - world-wide. In October he received a letter from the owner of the Sphinx Casino in Las Vegas (i think thats the name!) --- they do an auction of the worlds most prestigious cars every year and he offered this guy full air-fare, 1st class accom. Meals all paid for etc... transport..... if he would agree to have his 2 Packards auctioned off at his casino with the other cars. His website is up at www.vintagepackards.com Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/6164-old-school-gt-r/#findComment-96992 Share on other sites
rs73
He really hit a jackpot doesn't he? Gee, awful lotta money to pay for a classic! But I guess these cars will continue appreciate in value coz collectors are after them....
