odd steering wheel question

Hey,

I've got a '94 33 gtst which came with a kinda daggy looking momo wheel. It's not that bad, but my friend still has the stock wheel in his '95 gtst and I think it looks quite nice (except for a bit of wear). I want that wheel. I don't want a wheel from the '94 model because I don't particularly like the look of it.

Now, the '95 wheel has an airbag, '94 doesn't. I asked just jap if I could just install the '95 wheel in my car minus any airbag functionality and the guy on the phone said it's physically not possible.

Are you guys inclined to agree? Or is what I just said a big confusing mess?

Won't fit - the steering columns are a different size.

righto, thanks. The old wheel will stay a bit longer. Though this is a decent excuse to save up for that momo 'jet' I've always been fond of
