Well I'd just like to throw out a special thanks to the driver of 03MFS (gay plates btw) - who in the space of about 2 minutes yesterday on the M1 I saw, cut off about 3 drivers by what must have been centimeters, didn't even think about indicators whilst doing so, sat right-right up the ass of about 3 other cars in the middle lanes, all whilst going about 30km over the limit.. It takes effort to be that kind of dickhead.

And what do you know, a brand new HSV.. with kids in the back.

Mate.. you ****ing rock :kick:

Yeah, it's skylines that are the real menace's on our roads :) I mean, most of the time I couldn't give a crap how people drive, but when you see do that many stupid things in the space of 2 minutes in busy traffic which could have caused about 5 accidents you have to wonder :)

It's not just bogan VL owner's that do that stupid shit with their kids in the car...

Ah hah! My ranting is rubbing off on others... :)

Makes you wonder where the cops are when you see things like that... There always conveniently absent when shit like that happens and conveniently present when "we" have a quiet meet and greet in a carpark - or deserted back road, etc...

Typical HSV driver though I spose... This is the best car in the world - I'm invincible!! Although I've seen some f**king idiot Skyline drivers on the M1 in busy times too...

FWIW, if you ring the cops and report the plates mentioning that the driver is driving erratically / swerving, and appears to be drunk, they will do a broadcast over the police radio mentioning the plates, type and colour of car, last known location and direction, registered address, and the fact that the driver appears UIL (Under the Influence of Liquor)... I hear it on the scanner all the time... :)

OFF TOPIC:

Mine was $90 Jay and although it doesn't have a lot of the features the "Hams" use, it does the job for me...

But, Brisbane is full encrypted digital now and I don't know of any way to "scan" that...

I just listen to the Gold Coast and Beenleigh patrols...

of course there are exceptions you dimwit.

but how else do the authorities explain how "all" import drivers are a menace to the public and if your on your Ps you can't possibly have any clue about how to drive.

it does appear though that the vast majority of HSV/Holden/FPV/Ford owners that have modded their cars in some respect are absolute wankers. (lets not forget skyliners too 'cause we all know how dangerous we are ):devil1:

but hey it's always the one person who's never had a ticket and can honestly say they've never broken any road laws that takes offence to a tounge in cheek comment.

GET OVER YOURSELF.:usuck: :boohoo:

Shame life isnt like need for speed... because then you could just go up to the back of the car, and give it a weee tap, and BAM!  Hes out of the race!

Or in cases like this, perhaps Carmageddon or Interstate '82!

    • I’d love to find some where that can recover the dashes to look brand new and original. Mine has a very slight bubble, nothing compared to some I’ve seen though
    • $170K. I asked one of the guys there as a joke if that price was just for the passenger seat as it was where the price sheet was... he tried really hard to crack a smile 😄 He also mentioned that every single part of the car was inspected and either restored or replaced with a new or as new part, or made from scratch. The interior was incredible, every inch like a new car.
    • Time for a modernisation, throw out the AFM, stock O2s, ECU into the e-waste bin. Rip out the cable throttle, IACV, pedal, etc. into the scrap metal bin. DBW, e-throttle, modern ECU, CANbus wideband, and the thing will drive better than when it left the factory.
    • I agree, don't go trusting those trims. As I said, first step is to put the logger away, and do the basics in diagnosis.   I spend plenty of time with data loggers. I also spend plenty of time teaching "technicians" why they need to stop using their data loggers, and learn real diagnostics.   The amount of data logs I play with would probably blow most people away. I don't just use it to diagnose. I log raw CAN data too, as a nice chunk of my job is reverse engineering what automotive manufacturers are doing.
    • I'm aware, but unless you're actually seeing the voltage the ECU is seeing and you're able to verify the sensors are actually working I find it hard to just trust STFT/LTFT. I will say, logging the ECU comes naturally to me because it's one of the lowest effort methods of diagnosis and I do similar things in my day job all the time. Staring at 20+ charts looking for something that isn't quite right isn't for everyone. NDS1 allows you to log almost everything so that's normally what I do and then sort out the data later.
