fuel pump installed

I just installed a bosch040 fuel pump into my car and im not 100% sure if i did it rite.

R34gtt. This is wat i did.

Removed std fuel pump and sniped the connecting plug and screw'd the wires onto the fuel pump. Positive & Negative to where it should be.

Cable tied the pump onto the bracket and thats it.

Now the thing that puzzled me was where the fuel pump should sit intank.

So i just left it layin on a diagonal side pointing down into the petrol as far as it would go.

Does anyone know wat im talking about?... if so, tell me its ok like that

or point me in the rite direction please.

i dont know how a r34 is but a 32 the pump sits in a bracket that is screwed to the boots floor,

yea the 32 was different and easier.

i had to reach into my tank and pull out the pump. it was only on the bracket but the bracket wasnt on anything.*i think*.

had a long look and fiddle around intank but cant seem to find anywhere to clip it stable.

am i missing something?
