yeah its awesome, they didnt even have them on the shelves yet and my gf and i decided to go out and buy 2 bikes.

she didnt want anything to much, but she got a nice bike for around $300, where as i wanted the hydrolic disks and got a $1060 bike for $900.

so this bike is brand new, meaning that not even a customer has taken it for a test ride around the shop. cant wait til tomorrow

Looks a very nice bike and sounds like a really good buy. I do a fair bit of racing and have been competing since 1996 in cross country. Where did you get it from if you dont mind me asking?

thanks

i got it from gold cross bikes (name may be slightly different) gotta get a bike rack now. its fun to ride, nice and smooth, breaks are awesome as well.

gearing is great, its a 9 speed so all up i have 27 gears, its sweet!

Cool, was just wondering as I am always on the look out for a good bike shop. Best one I go to at the moment is Terry Hammond in Highett Road next to the train station. Always has a good stock of bits and is local to me.

hey i got a GT too which looks very similar.. think its a 2003 model.. no fancy discs though..

pretty nice to ride. Went for a ride in Brisbane over the weekend - nearly killed me! too many damn hills! I haven't really taken it offroad yet, as its still got the slicks on it

urs is the avalanch 2.0? awesome

havent taken mine offroad yet but might take it to the farm soon lol

i had the chance to buy a 2004 avalanche 0.5 for the same price but there were only sizes small and extra small left

    • Update time!  The JZX110 had some maintenance needing to be done, so a lot of the seals with replaced to fix some oil leaks. Also used this opportunity to whack on a front mount that I'd bought some time ago.  I also finally got the rear lip painted and fitted.  I then got the exhaust done. It's just a catback for now. Custom made 3" stainless with a turn down. I could have a tip coming out, but it will require cutting the rear lip and possibly the bumper itself. So far I do like and it's made the car a little more zippy.  Close out with some nice pictures of the cars and a sneak peek of what's next.

    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365. Scan of a magazine with the black R33 from 1996: Wayback machine archived page from May, 2000: https://web.archive.org/web/20000529061027/http://www.emotion-r.co.jp/skyline.html Option magazine with a few photos from the Cockpit Tatebayashi booth at the Auto Salon from various years: 2002: http://www.jdm-option.com/photo/index.php?action=item&category_id=154&image_id=3507 2003: http://www.jdm-option.com/photo/index.php?action=item&category_id=137&image_id=3033 2005: http://www.jdm-option.com/photo/index.php?action=item&category_id=116&image_id=1831 In 2008 Cusco website mentions that the Cockpit Tatebayashi ECR33 was displayed at that year's Tokyo Auto Salon: https://www.cusco.co.jp/event/2008/12/post_735.html As of 2021 it appears that the ECR33 demo car ended up being exported to Florida, USA: https://rmcmiami.com/inventory/1996-nissan-skyline-r33-cockpit-tatebayashi-demo-car-big-te06-turbo-endless-brakes-lsd-450hp/ And finally here's Google streetview of the Emorion R garage in 2023 which is amazingly not only still there, but the showroom is still full of various parts in stock and funishings, etc.: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ttyEAZdZLyzermyT9 Apologies for nerding out a bit. I used to love doing this 20 years ago on SAU and got a bit nostalgic for a moment... 😅
