Just joined your GREAT!! website. Very imfortative and loads of fun.

Here is my first post. I have a R32 GXi Sedan and I am looking for a clutch kit. The engine is the ca18i, 1800cc, n/a. I was wondering if anyone could help me with any brand clutch kits that would work with this setup, and if you could suggest any race clutches.

Heard that race clutches are better suited for wear and tear, and much tolerable than the OEM clutch kit.

Your help is appreciated

R32 Sedan with a CA18??? is this stock?

umm... I am thinking about putting in a stock GTST clutch, imo that is more than adequate for

an NA Car...

BTW - post photos of your car.. I am curious.

Yep, GXi is the lowest spec R32, came standard with the CA18. There are a few of them running round in NZ. Must be a heap of empty space under the bonnet!

Yup there is a heap of space in the engine bay. That is the motivation to upgrade the motor when the cash makes itself available. It's not a performance engine but it's alot of fun if you are into messing around in a car park.

The chassis plate has the code for the GTS 5 spd gearbox on it. So I guess the GTST clutch should work without any problems.

I was talking to a guy who owns an R32, with much better engine, and he was telling me that any clutch assembly should fit the R32. Just wondering how true this statement is, especially when it comes to my baby with her lil 1800cc knocker.

Have to ask a silly question. Does anyone know the size of the pressure plate and clutch disc, dimensions that is?

Ok I did some research and found out that the S13 has the same gearbox as the GXI R32 skyline. The gearbox is the one from the GTS model (FS5W71C). I have no experience with purchasing a clutch kit. I know I do need the full kit (pressure plate, release bearing, and clutch disc) cause my clutch is slipping like a "you know what".

The car is RWD, does this mean I have to get a special clutch ? The service manual calls for a 225mm clutch disc, but I am not sure about the teeth on the shaft and the clutch disc.

Was checking ACT website and came across a clutch which I thought might work. Anyone shed some light on my predicament.

ACT Clutch

May i ask why you are wasting your money on this car? it is pointless. save some money and sell your car and getyourself a R32 89 GTS ATLEAST!

Cheers

Thanks for your opinion. Until I can get the cash and sell this car I still need something to drive around,.

Back on topic, does anyone know how many teeth are on the clutch disc shaft?
