It cost me around $6500. But you could probably do it for as little as $4000

do u reckon it was worth the money?

i have an R33 gtst atm, but i just love the R32 look and would also LOVE an r32 with lots of power but not pay the crazy amount insurance as u would with a gtr

Yes, as my car was a R32GTS25 before hand, I went from 95 rwkw to 165 rwkw. I love the power to weight it now has, and with the RB25DET on board it will be relatively easy to get more power if desired. I'm the same as you in that I do not like the look of the R33, and am very fond of my car (as I've had it for about 5 years).

In hindsight though I could have sold the car (before the engine change) and used the cash I would have spent on modifying to buy a R32 GTR.

my car is in the same process. the motor is in using

Rb25det Series II motor

RB20det Gearbox

RB20 Loom, (modified)

RB20 ECU

RB25 throttle body with rb20 TPS

RB25 coilpacks and injectors,

So far has cost me around 2000 and the car is running :)

putting a microtech in this week. final cost will be around 3000 running.

I have been doing this over the last 2 weeks so info is still fresh if anyone needs any help.

just ask

Cheers

great info guys!!!

I have found an auto elec to do the job although I have to wait until the week after easter for him to do the loom. He charges $550.

Cant wait to get the car back, its killin me.

How much power am I likely to make with the rb25 on 13psi with power fc, blitz fmic, full apexi exhaust, pod, and bosch 044 pump???

Those would be the obvious power up mods.
