Where is this oil/fluid coming from?

As the title suggests... could it be oil leaking from the Diff?

you can't tell that well from the pic but its definately dripping from somewhere above the exhaust...

What colour is the oil ?

What does it smell like ?

As far as I know, it can only be one of two things - the Diff oil, or 4ws hicas (power steer fluid)

The diff filler plug is above there, check its not overfull or the plug is loose.

Thanks guys, I will definately have to get it up on a hoist to check it out. I can't get far enough under my car to see/smell it properly.

It's not the filler plug - that's BEHIND the axles. The shot is from in front of the axles.

I'd suggest it's the pinion seal on the front of the diff, although I'd expect it to have sprayed oil all over the underside of the car.
