I've got an annoying rattle on the passenger side of the dashboard above the glovebox. When driving along bumpy roads it rattles like crazy. i've pulled the bottom half of the dash and glovebox out, and ridden in the passenger seat trying to find anything loose or jumping around, and still found nothing.

Has anyone else had a problem like this in an R33, any help appriciated.

Yeah, hey. other than ripping the whole dashboard out and most of the gear inside it, ive got no idea.

Anyone else had a similar problem? It sounds similar to a loose glovebox rattling over bumpy roads, ive searched everywhere i can reach inside the dash, and found nothing!

Cheers,

Sam

Mine rattles but I KNOW its my glovebox. You may have something stuck in your vents. Try give it a blast on full. There may also be a foreign object/broken part floating aroud in the heater box..... Not fun to get to - its a dash removal. But ifyour good you cah have the dash out in about an hour. Id say this will be your last option. Second to last is turn the music up. :D

Did this by any chance happen while you were going at 260kmh? haha jk. I was just thinking of the thread in the Skylines and other... section ('rattling dash while going at 260kmh, should I be concerned?' thread).

Edit: this one http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t185513.html

my problem actually turned out to be a losse passenger side bonnet hinge, i bought a nice firm one from a wrecker and problem solved :D

dude, you're a legend !!! you saved me from more hours of pointless searching under the dash.

you can also put a hard piece of rubber on the flat base of the hinge, so when the hinge closes, it wedges nice and tight. test it by trying to lift the rear corner of the bonnet when its closed. i've got no movement now, and the annoying sound is gone.

so far so good. :D
