Hey guys i know its been along time coming but we went back to CRD today to get our new 02 sensors put in and have the cam gears tuned.

The result was 332KW at all four.

the max power was with 21 PSI

as for a picture i'll get one up ASAP.

as for the lag there is a bit there, but you get going soo quick you don't mind.

This was with a 8500RPM rev limiter set max power was at around 7500RPM.

Also we made 280 KW with only 15PSI

Cheers

is it a RB26??? if it is....can you PM more details of what you have done on your car...are you running stock internals???? coz i only made 276.2rwkw at 1.3bar...therefore, i just want to know what other mod you have done to your RB26...

by the way...does any1 know what is GTSS rated at??? HKS jap web site rated at 320hp....but on my 2002 HKS cataloge says it is a 280hp turbo...can any1 confirm this.

thanks

Daniel

I thought the HKS GT-SS were 280ps per unit

NICE result 600hp would love to see your other mods

You say your still got a bit of lag even with the GT-SS thats a same i would have thought them one of the best for throddle responce but i know what you by it doesnt really matter much if the car just get going , as mind has a touch of lag with the 320hp garret but really i love driving the R

I thought the HKS GT-SS were 280ps per unit

i have checked specs of HKS cataloge and HKS-Power.Co.Jp.....all the specs mentioned are matched...but for some reason HKS has changed the power rating of GTSS from 280hp to 320hp

i will bring my car to RACEPACE on thursday for changing braking rotors and pads...may also raise the boost from 1.3 to 1.5bar...see if i can get anywhere close to 300rwkw...if not, then i think i will get a pair of Tomei Poncams (IN260 EX260)

its only slightly over sized from the standard 2628cc i think, the engine was all built at CRD by jim and the gang there.

As for its intention its driven 5 days a week and sometimes on the weekend. but the car should be going out to drag combat and also going to the race track for lap times.

i have no idea how quick it will be but we want to do something with the qearbox to strengthen it up.

also Peter how many revs do you use to get the car of the line and do you drop the clutch or ride it with lots of revs.

we are in need of a JUN intake plenum if anyone knows of one that is for sale we also need the throttle body as well.

your asking me how to launch at drags (jesus i only every done one serious race meet seriously)

well i pick the rev up abit 4000 to 5000 and as i stand on the throddle i drop the clutch ,so i catch the motor on accelation which just getting all 4 spinning and basically pedal the car from there (do you know what i mean by pedal)

it you flurt the throddle to get as much traction as posible but still keep the car on boost

does that make sense

well with shity tyres and no burnout i manage 1.7sec 60 footer and i feel this is easier on the gearbox and clutch as you dont get so much hugh torque transfer through the drive line

PLEASE this only my opinion as i not a dragger so to speak

after talking to wreckhead(10sec gtr on std box )he put me on to a gearbox specialist in sydney how had done so cool simple mods to the gearbox to help shifting and put it on redline light weight shock proof (good stuff) and also had install a short shifter to help with speeding up gear changing .I also think the std box is strong than most think if is looked after.

as i am sure you will know tyres pressure also play a big role in traction of the line i went as low as 20psi to try and get some traction

hope this helps

enjoy your ride as it sound like a nice combo

pete

ha i'm glad your thread has been left alone by so of the half wits getting around on this forum cos it good to see a guy willing to share information openly and willingly cos i believe thats what this forum is all about good work and good luck ,hope to hear how it all goes in the future

pete

ps so that all made sense as i know i'm not the best at describing such things as drag launching

sounds good!

hey 600 with all the engine work u have done ull be able to take it alot further wouldnt u? I couldnt be a mechanics A$$ but to me it seems like ur playing it safe?

Nonetheless top work!! What would sumthing like that get you down the 1/4 in?

Cheers
