Hi all,

Time has come to fit an aftermarket oil pump on my earlier RB26 block, I've done a search and was not able to come up with a solid answer...

The Nissan N1 oil pump will not fit straight up I have read?

What modifications/parts are needed to fit this onto an otherwise standard crank/drive?

Kindly appreciate any help, thanks

Just found this from thread titled GTR Crank Questions...

R33 and R34 cranks have the longer collar to run the oil pump as the R32 cranks had a thin one that can cause the pump to fail. You can add the collar to them.

I don't think there is any strength differences, if there are it's minor.

isnt the only differance between the n1 pump and a standard pump is the pressure spring? the n1 pump has a harder spring in it to give it higher pressure?

steve

Correct, just put an 8 psi stronger spring into a standard RB26 oil pump. Bingo it's an N1:cheers:
