Is this the correct way to setup a whiteline rear swaybar on an r33 gtst it the only I can see to use all the nuts.

Wrong, you need 2 nuts on the bottom of the link bush. The spare one you have is the lock nut the stops the bush winding down the link rod. This is from my post in the Stagea section on Suspension...

You can't quite see it in the picture but there are 2 nuts below the link bush.

Hope that helps:cheers:

If you bought the standard 22mm bar then the bushes will fit perfectly. However if

you bought the oversize 24mm bar "non stock" then the bushes they supply present a problem as the largest bush the have and supply with the bar is 22mm.

They dont tell you this when u buy it. You have three choices, least desirable is:

1. You hand grind it out, this will never be right as you want max surface area in contact with bush to cover in grease to stop the squeaks.

2. you heat it or as Whiteline term it "blow it out" they dont reccomend it anymore as the smoke that comes of it is seriously bad shit.

3. Most desirable is you ring Peter at Fulcrum suspension in Qld 07 3892 9000

and ask him for a set of SPF1647-22K. He will then take these to the factory next door, lathe them to 24mm, freight them to u for the massive sum of $25.00 inc freight and get them to you within a couple of days and I live in Adelaide and their purple that at least matches a skyline colour.

It may sound like a bit of rooting around but its safer and provinding you put the white goo supplied in the bush bag on them NO SQUEAKS.

Sorry to drag up an old thread guys, But I recently purchased the whiteline front adjustable bar for my R33 GTSt, and it only came with the D-bushes, no linkages. The shop I got it from said that I am supposed to use the standard linkages, but I was under the impression the adjustable bars also came with the linkages???

Came somebody please clarify this for me?

thanks in advance.

Z

The front adj bar i got came with bushes only.Hope that helps. It's the rear bar that has the linkages.

Yeah, I ended up speaking to whiteline and you are correct.

The standard linkages on the rear bar would not work with an adjustable swaybar, which is why they supply them. The front bar can use the standard ones...

Thanks for the reply anyhow, appreciated.

Without resorting to opening up another thread, does someone have a copy of the Whiteline instructions on how to install the front and rear (adjustable) sways on a 33 GTST? Mine didn't seem to come with any!

Thanks..
