Importing is a joke!

Ok, honest opinion guys, is it worth the wait? Im thinking of getting a nice 180sx or R32 and importing seems to be a great way to save $$$$ Im just a bit put off by the so called long wait times.. + if I import a 1989 vehicle with exaust, rims mods do i have to get them all taken off it just to get it road certificated?

Honestly mate - at present I would not bother with an 89 in any of the popular models. Better bet is to try & source one already in oz. Reason being is that anything 89 or early 90 in Japan is being snaffled by the importers & prices are being pushed up. Second reason is that the standard of 15 old cars atm is pretty awful.
