nice stuff.. unfortunately I had to pull out of this one as I was hoping to be there with my 32 as well :D wish I could have been there. All my car is sorted with my new brakes now, is off for compliance on friday.. So I'm itching to be out there on the March day.

so did any1 see a white 32 gtr there, i was on my way home from work and saw a white gtr on the bruce h'way just past the mooloolaba turn off, thought it mite have been sum1 on here from up the coast that went down. is that autobarn gtst from nambour at all?? does any1 know??

Hey, I was just about to start this thread!!!!

Anyway, thanks heaps to Paul and the rest of the organisers / voulnteers, the day was great fun, and ran like clockwork. Lets hope you can get your car out there next time Paul!!!!

Thanks heaps to the guy who helped me get back on the track (sorry did not get your name) by helping to "fix" the "minor" fuel leak problem I was having. I thought I'd checked every nut and bolt on ther car, I did not even think of the filler cap.

I've alyways said a hammer, a set of multigrips and race tape are the most important tools at a race track.

Anyway, I had a ball, was really happy that I did not break anything :D and I was reasonably happy with my best time (1:12:97) considering it was my first track day with my close to stock R33. I might have to read up on racing lines though:)

I think I'll be directing a bit of money torwards the handling side things (after I recover from the accociated costs of the track day!!!), a set of lower coil overs and bigger front disks would be nice.

How cool was that Porsche, that thing could handle!

Thanks to my pit crew I have a few pics (below) with commentary and all.

I'm keen for the next one.

Thanks guys. I had a great day too, even if my car was not ready. It definately will be ready for the next one. Decided no more last minute mods as my new years resolution.

The timing gear went great.

It was mostly the guys from www.TeamTurbossRacing.info who ran the pits etc.

For anyone who is interested, these are the results from the day. Our timing gear is fully electronic at 1/100th of a second.

OMG who was that??

I think that was the Silver Autobarn car, it hammered until something let go (oil leak?) and they retired. I was standing at the end of the main straight on the lap it happened - it did not sound so good:(

horrific brake shudder. next mod. brakes!!

Brakes... You've heard my brakes :D As far as I can tell, Skyline brakes either shudder, squeel, make bucketloads of dust, or all / some of the above...

Good mod though... I can reccomend the DBA 4000's and RB74 pads... Just make sure you put the anti squeel shims back in :)

i wouldn't be worried about regular brake shudder but this is really too bad to put up with any longer. imagine your traveling along at anything above 100, you apply the tiniest bit of pressure to the brake pedal, the shudder is so bad the steering wheel is practicly wrenched from your sweaty little hands. i'm thinking this is not the usual skyline problem

now i'm off to defrost the credit card :)
