Ok, so it's no secret that last night, mother nature went batshit ****ing loco!

so lets just use this to say what has happened to your house/car/around you.

if something was damaged, maybe someone knows someone who knows someone who can help fix it?

i woke up this morning to get to work at 7 (as promised to one of the employees who hasnt shown up yet [shit]), i had to go feed the dogs, go outside, backyard was pretty much our new swimming pool, with grass.

my dogs seemed fine, except that the youngin was a bit stressed, and both were muddy, A LOT!

drive down the road out of my court, and some guys fence is down. worst, always happens to him due to the large amount of wind that passes through his big yard he uses to keep trucks.

other than that atm, theres ambo's going everywhere, firetrucks everywhere else, and our factory office suprisingly didnt get flooded like it usually would of in this kind of weather

We have no power but fortunately haev gas heating so fine for showers. Cat went a bit mad though, spent the night walking around on the tips of it claws with its back arched at nothing!

Few trees down on beach road. Also a few sets of lights out. Balcombe Road and Nepean highway is but there were no police there when I left.

Cars were fine and glad to see my hunt for a double garage paid off!

Heard reports of people in the west turning round and going home as the west gate was a nightmare

I got within 200m of work, then the road was closed with a big arse tree down, so had to go around another way, besides that had to drive through about a 1foot deep puddle...

Tip for anyone driving through puddles: always drive at a slow constent speed (don't slow down or accelerate through them)

My house, lots and lots of garden damage - busted flower pots, a number of bent trees/bushes, lots of mother's roses (the stick things with a ball of flowers on the top) bent over, dirt everywhere, water everywhere, shade cloth uprooted it's star pickets and threw them around all over the back porch..

I think there was some wind last night!!!

Apparently there was to be more rain today (according to nova100), but i haven't seen any yet and the sun seems to be shining (thank god)!

my house is a split level on a slope, so the downstairs bit at the back of the house sits low. I went downstairs in my jocks to grab some socks off the clothes horse; and there was about an inch of water that had got in. Spent an hour mopping it all up, filled up 3 5 litre buckets! Wet the wooden floor aswell, hope it doesnt crack and warp once it dries out. Got to work late (that wasnt a problem, i woke up a bit late because my alarm clock stopped working because there was a power cut last night)

I cant blame the storm and was told that apparently I cant blame the guy because accidents happen, but this morning I was travelling inbound along dynon road and due to flooding on dynon rd, it was partly blocked off out bound, PARTLY... and some f**ker driving on the otherside of road assumed the entire road in both direcitons past the intersection was closed and decided not to look as he turned right at the intersection i was travelling straight through and hit us. The car is a ride off I keep getting told, I find out tomorrow if the 32 is a goner ;)

Yeh the weather has been crazy, the bus i catch to school had to take a detour because the Hurstbride bridge was completly flooded, for anyone that knows the water normaly its around 3 meters below the bridge and now it was over the bridge. diamond creek bridge was closed and behind the diamond creek footy groud was completely flooded the water rose 2 metere's over night and flood the whole area.

yeah it took me 5 hrs to get to work this morning!! i woke up late n then i ran to the station n found out that all trains had been canceled then the guy said train comming at 9:40 so i waited didnt get there till 12:15 and i got to work at 2 yay now i have to make up 5 hrs die ***ers die!!!

Anybody around the city today?

Have a peek at the MCG.

There were 5 HUGE GROLLO cranes yesterday and today there is 4.5. One of them literally snapped off from where the operator sits.

It is still attached but is drooping along the ground.

Spoke to one of the tradesmen and apparently it smashed its way through a couple new buildings and came very very close to hitting the security guards hut, which was occupied.

On a lighter note a had a laugh to myself at all the lawn bowls clubs I seen today. They had turned into swimming pools with the curators standing around scratching there heads.

    • It's about the same time for me from Bunnings, or the Fasteners. My big push away from takeaway food, and gluten in general keeps me away from the Bunnings Snags too! Weather up here, I've been out for two walks today in the beautiful sunshine. Had a few little drizzles, and some wind, that honestly, a tin of beans and I could compete on how harsh she blows Thankfully, being this bit inland, we're not getting anything much really. Will probably pick up a bit more when/if Cyclone Alfie decides to come ashore. A few areas in the GC though, and south into NSW are really getting smashed though! Right now, I'm just annoyed Alfie hasn't hit, as I'm not allowed to crack into the BBQ foods like the bacon and eggs until the Cyclone hits "In case we lose power"...
    • I love fastener joints, the price difference between them and joints like Bunnings or Super Cheap is amazing, and they either have exactly what you want, or they can get it to quick They have even given me some for free when I only needed a couple of specific size In saying this, I have paid premium for fasteners from Bunnings if they have the sizes I need, but only for convenience really, as my local is only 10 minutes away, the Sushi joint near them is also a consideration  How's the weather Matt? Stay safe mate
    • Wideband is worth setting up if only for tuning purposes. I would not mess with the ignition system unless there's a misfire. HKS crank trigger is popular out here for the relatively easily sourced Denso crank sensor, not a bad idea to install as well regardless of power level on a standalone. Boost leak test is worth thinking about. Oil pressure sensor tied to a fuel cut isn't a bad idea either. Getting the tune figured out is a good idea. Without putting eyes on it and getting under it there's no way for us to tell you exactly what it needs but most likely you're down to the last 10% that will make a big, big difference in how happy you are with the car.
    • Doing a refresh of my 33 and can see a few websites stating they sell the entire main carpet for our cars, but they all have generic photos which is fine, i understand they are custom made to order.  Just seeing if anyone has got it done or had any experience with this, as i would only want to do it if the fit and finish was as good as oem https://carmatsdirect.com.au/products/moulded-carpet-or-vinyl-for-nissan-skyline-r33-1993-1998-coupe https://knoxautocarpets.com.au/moulded-carpets/nissan/skyline/skyline-r-33-1993-1998/
    • Any plans for E85? If so, add flex fuel sensor.   I'd probably add in the sensors I mentioned above if the Link will support using them for engine protection. With water pressure, you need to be able to effectively set it that "If temp > X, and pressure = atmospheric, shutdown" as at running temp, you should be able to read pressure in the cooling system. If pressure suddenly disappears, it means the water went some where, and this is a quicker reaction than waiting on water temp to go up (Which, can take a little longer than you'd like, considering it now has to wait for hot air to heat it up) Oil pressure, Oil temp, both would be on my list too if you're looking to add sensors. Wideband O2. And at least one EGT sensor. If you're feeling deluxe, put in individual runner EGTs. Single EGT sensor is more so forget about a specific number, get used to "What is normal EGTs", and then keep an eye on it, if it starts going away from "normal" it's a sign something is wrong (Also, things like the tune can still start going out of spec, but EGTs may not show it, for example one injector starts running leaning, so ECU richens everything up, now 5 out of 6 cylinders are rich, and running cool, with one cylinder lean and running hotter, so it's not perfect) Then there is your other things to look at non sensor related, but you may have already done, or have underway, and that would be things like building a sump for more oil, and better oil control under high G-Forces (Cornering, brakes, acceleration). Basically, the above is worth looking/thinking about, if the ECU can do protective stuff with it, and you continue to use it how you are (Drive it to the track, thrash it, drive home, repeat once every 3 to 4 months)
