I was wondering if you know if the knock sensors cause what fel like a rev cut at 5k.

I'm looking at buying a fresshly imported car, apparennly with old jap fuel in it and the guy reckons the knock sensor is sensing pinging and cuasing the fuel to cut.

Is this BS??

when an import comes in buy regulations or what ever all the fluids are to be dropped and replaced. So putting new fuel in the ecu should work it out. Thats my understanding. I am more than offten wrong.
