so im heading up there to you lads n lasses to play some balken music at the festival from the 24th - 28th.

now, at times when im not playing, and considering i am bringing my gf as well, where is there good places of interest?

doesnt have to be tourist spots, anywhere nice really

hopefully i can get to hire a yellow Getz like i did in tasmania

Hey Michael - everyone has there Fav's and the Crew will give you the goss on the best Clubs/Pubs. Acadamy, Insomnia, Kingo....

Depending on your interests there is the Tourist spots

New Parliamant House, War Memorial, Telstra Tower, National Museum, Botanical Gardens, The Aquarium/Zoo is good. There is also a great view of Canb from Mount Ainslie and/or Red Hill (Coffee shop).

Id take your GF for a walk around the Lake, maybe a BBQ down the Cotter. Maybe catch a new flik out in Woden Cinema's and check out the shops.

Drop in and check Manuka out - Resteraunts and Coffee shops.

GF = Shopping centres. Woden, Belco, Tuggers and the City.

BTW - What is Balken music

what sinista said is pretty spot on. except dont worry about going to tuggeranong even though thats were most of us decent folk live its dosent really compare to woden/civic

Belco is the bestest, except when christian fanatics are trying to get you to sponsor children in slovenia or some such place.

It's got everything you need, even 2 of everything.

lol belco..... havent been there for like a year lol! id say just hang around civic and woden. civics the place to be if you have money to take your gf shopping etc... lots of good clothing shops there, and wodens the place to be for movies. also civic has nightclubs etc... academy is good got rated 3rd in australia

yeh, my uncle (close family friend) owns 1/4 of academy and gets me on the VIP list ocasionally for underage id like to get you on the VIP list but ive only ever done it underage so im not too sure but i can find out for you, if you and your girl want to go out clubbin', let me know and ill see what i can do

I took the fiance to the Zoo for her B'day and done the "Meet to A Cheetah" experience.... definately worth the money.
