RB25 box into the Ceffy?

Hey guys,

Just about to pick up an auto Ceffy and one of the top things on the list is the conversion. I figured it may be worth spending a little more initially to get a box that is going to take more of a pounding.

Has anyone done this, and is it much more involved than the standard RB20 gearbox swap? What other parts are needed from the R33?

heaps of people have done it.. go to www.d1nz.org and go to the forums... theres a "Technical Nissan" section... go in there and do a search and if u cant find anything just ask one of the guys there

Im curious if hooking the speedo up is a drama when goin from the cefiro or R32 rb20det box to the R33 box i wasnt sure who but i was told its a digital pickup or somthing on the 33s intstead of a cable is this true? Is an aftermarket speedo needed? :wizard:

thats true but u can get a converter aparently... they will know for sure on D1NZ

Yes, I'd read that also - and that there were converters avail..

(BTW - anyone got any 33 boxes just sitting in their garage looking to clear out space ?? - Hmm, guess I better keep my eye out in the parts for sale section!)
