What are you thinking cc hahaha

Previous dyno figure from the dyno day was 168rwkw.

I'm thinkin it's pretty crap I'm making 30rwkw more than stock JDM s15 when it's probably got a lot more response and it's lighter :thumbdwn: :boohoo:

edit: only thing i can think of is it being a bit rich.

hmm looks fantastic, wish i could have done that. don't have the underbonnet room though. and no gap inbetween the radiator. had to do away with crossover pipe and get GReddy plenum (something i never planned to do).

makes intercooler pipe easy though.

what are inlet temps like now with that cooler, cos i bought one too

i just did my install on my coupe .. i'm embarassed at the welds compared your too much boosts work ...

the welds penetrated more than i would of really wanted ..but its mostly on the surface..so i might get back into them with the mig and smooth em up .. so they look nicer.

that is a great job on the cooler pipes.

I would seriously consider doing that full time if I had the ability to make it look like that in the end.

One question.

what paint did you use?

just gloss black regular spray can paint or is it engine enamel which would not flake off in high temps.

I did 2 coats of Etch Primer, then about 4 coats of regular Acrylic Black Enamel. Paint is yet to flack under the hottest temps. Although the pipe over the rocker cover does hit my bonnet and has taken some paint off but it doesnt bother me.

yea zactly the same problem i have ..... in due time ..i'll probably get them mirrored in fully mandrel bent sections ..rather than cut and shut jobs ..at least then i could hopefully get it to fit nice and flush and not hit any of the underside of the bonnet.

mine i painted with cheap .. well supercheap paint ..few coats of regular primer ..and Matt Black. iwas going to use the same paint i painted my cooler with (that VHT hi temp stuff for headers) but at 30bucks a can .. its not really worth it.

The problem with the high temp stuff is it's porous and so starts to rust if it isn't cured by heat, and lots of it. I used it the first time i did piping and had to pull the pipes off and repaint them 2 weeks later.

i drove about 1400kms the follow 5days after i installed the cooler.... and ..hasnt shown any signs of rust or cracking on the cooler paint. ..... depends if u use a good primer i guess

Welding can be made easier, provided you have the fit up right, and you have a tee piece of your wedling gas that allows you to purge the inside of the pipe whislt you weld.

This shields the inside fo the weld from oxygen which stops cauliflower forming on the inside and helps with a uniform weld bead.

Im not the greatest welder, but if your careful with the fit up and you purge the weld, then it makes life a lot easier, a lick of scotchbrite and my stainless welds were barely visible, though i did TIG mine:)

...and fit up was a pain in the ass when tring to clear the oil filler cap, radiator fan, and keep the bends uniform and with smooth transitions:(
