Newbies guide to uprated cams RB26DETT

Old ground for many of you but... I'm interested in the benefits of uprating the cams on my GTR.. many of the vids & pics MOST have the HKS adjustables :boinkcar: and I'm assuming the cams are also done..

How is the power changed from the stock torque spread? and in terms of the way car drives... not wanting all the power at the top and would preffer more grunt lower down....

What are the most common setups?

Say two examples...

1. Stock GTR with steel internals running 1 bar. How will the power be changed low down? mid? All top end?... not wanting to rev the RB too high so not that interested in the top end for fear of spinning a shell but... :pissed:

2. Single say T78 etc comes on song about 4k ish? How will the power change?

Sorry such newbie questions here but still searching for more posts to explain benefits.. :uhh:

Lastly actually fitting the cams / cam gear - is this a do-able DIY task & how long should it take? also any potential pitfalls when installing.... :uh-huh:
