doridori32,

What's you'r problem, | PRESA | is trying to get help with his car here and you'r jibbering on about absolute sh!t. you'r last post is total off topic and no one care's about you'r short shift's so stop talking about them.

| PRESA |

Don't worrie about him, do what you think is best I my self would recommend a front mount cooler to get thoes inlet temps down.

Thanks, I appreciate the help from you and predator.

Thats the kind of info I look forward to hearing on the forums.

Not sh!t like, do this to you car and if you don't your a moron cos I did it and my names doridori32 and I'm a drop kick.

There is a reason japanese products are costly and one being they are the complete kit ready for DIY bolt on and secondly performance wise.

You can guarantee the japs have tested these coolers before they sell it with the price tag they do, I haven't heard one person complain about the value for money on a jap made coolers.

It's not about the brand name but the quality, I don't have any actual figures on quality of custom made coolers and from my mates that have tested custom to jap brands, they recommend the jap brands and so do there tuners when the results prove on the dyno.

doridori32, for you I suggest you join the gaymatchmaker.com.au site and maybe you can provide some better advice there.

You seem to be brain washed with 'Insert Brand Name Item' is the better than anything else theory!!

Its your $$ so do what you want, but for the cost x performance you pay for the Greedy cooler to what extra performance it will give you especially if you are only going for a high flowed turbo, is nothing. If you looked at what makes up the design of a cooler, it is nothing special when compared to other items.

Remember not to get hung up on the poser wank factor of telling your mates you have a 'Greedy' cooler :D

i think this thread has gone way out of control... but here is my 2cents...

i have a greddy intercooler and it does a very good job, keeps the temp down. I have the v-spl cooler from nengun and it is cheaper than the r-spl cooler which is for high hp cars. I think a front mount intercooler is a necessary change if you plan to run any more than 10psi

if you run 12-13psi through a std cooler with a high flow you will be losing power as the air will be too hot as the cooler wont be able to cope. especially if you have your foot down for a prolonged time.

run 12-13psi through a decent front mount and you will feel the difference and it will show on a dyno. a heap of power will be unleashed.

maybe you should think about getting all these mods (fmic, high flow, pfc, fuel pump) all done at once ...

Yeh Hybrids are cheap, and i know a few cars running them and they are very good, so id say they are a great buy... but keep your eyes peeled, the IC itself may very well be cheap, but by the time its installed it could very well cost more then the Jap kits as some places want $500-70 for cooler piping.

Happy shopping:)

    • Ha ha ha, mine loves to spend, all on the dogs (they're our kids, and her spending would likely rival that of some people raising children!) the only benefit is, her spending is tax deductible as she runs a business in the dog industry 😛 The above all means she can spend race car budget quicker than I can. 😛 That and a lot of the things I want are very expensive, and I can be a bit "you want how much for that?!" And at other times overly impulsive. Or I start the w days of research, get to day 1.5 and get really annoyed that no one will advertise actual specifics and it's just marketting BS and I go "well, now I don't want anything to do with that now!" Also I hate paying lots of money for something I can make from $50 in materials. Then I get the shits halfway through making things and wonder why others who just buy parts have more fun... 😛
    • Their 240Z with the RB26 would be a real nice thing to have in a garage to come out for an occasional weekend cruise It's such a cool thing in so many ways Sadly, we have a blue 240Z shell that I walk past every day, just sitting outside a shed at work, it has been slowly disintegrating and falling apart into the ground for the last few years, the owner cannot be found, and I am unable to "claim it" I've been told by work and the RMS, the rust in the body is excessive though, and it has had most of the salvageable stuff, like panels, trim and switch gear stripped off it over the last year or two, work keeps threatening to put it in one of our metal scrap bins, I wish they did though, as it makes Mark sad walking past it
    • Good tips, I like it! 😂😂 My wife is a LOT more frugal than me so it's only me we need to worry about! A splurge to her is buying 2 pairs of socks in one visit at Kmart!
    • Haha, the appropriate response to the question "Is this new?" is "I've had this for a while.". With the unspoken small print that a while may be the time since this morning or five years ago   And to be fair I learned that from the best, i.e. my wife. Because it goes both ways.
    • Yeah kids certainly add a whole another dimension to your life.  Life ceases to be about you and more about them for a while!  And I wouldn't have it any other way.  I love watching them play sport and make new friends along the way. Wow, sounds like your mate is a good guy to know!!!  He's got some serious toys in the toy box!  Yes it would be lovely to be able to do stuff to your car without getting all tied up in boring shit like how to pay for it!!  I would describe my spending style as "aggressively spontaneous and logical but regrettable purchasing"....  That will hopefully make no sense at all which would be appropriate given that is how I buy stuff.  I'll decide at the drop of a hat that I'm buying something expensive, research the living shit out of it for 2 days straight then go out and buy it.  Then I'll have instant buyers remorse for 2 days which generally passes by the time it turns up on the front step!  If I'm feeling ballsy sometimes I'll tell my wife.  Other times it just makes its way silently passed the house and out the back to the shed, never to be spoken of again...
