shrug.. its naturally progression..

cops pick on modified car owners, something happens.. crowd turns on cops. There is a lot of agression and animosity towards police (and the media) over this issue these days.

Although to topic is an applicable one considering recent events, I seriously despise the poor reporting methods employed by the media. But then again, they don't refrain from neglecting any standard or ethics (and truth) - their job is to sell newspapers, not report the (unbiased) truth.

As for these clowns, well, it was bound to happen.

It's ironic that the ethnic background one of the reporters would have been from a large portion of those that were involved in the illegal street racing and subsequent 'brawl'

The media are vultures, while it was wrong for the crowd to turn on them, you can't say they didn't have it coming.

Otherwise, bunch of young idiots out to prove themselves and it ends in tradgedy, and it gives the rest of us a bad name.

this dosent help anyone..............it kinda helps prove the media's point of saying that car enthuasts shouldnt be let out at night.......

that was really dodgy how the only car mentioned in the other crashes that have happened recently was the skyline.............prehaps they know nissian isnt going to go after them for slander cause not even they want the car in oz!

Well, I can see why the crowd revolted against the media.

The media was the Daily Telegraph, the paper that consequtively ran front page p plate bashing stories, and has continued to attack any modified cars, especially targetting skylines, blaming young people for all of the traffic problems, and generally being the complete editorialising bastards that they are.

I wouldn't have attacked them, but i would've stuck it to them in words.

But don't take that as an excuse, attacking the police doing their job (apparently as far as I know) and street racing, is just plain dumb and lame.

It's a real shame, I wouldn't want to be the one who got crushed between the cars, and I wouldn't have been there watching anyway, who honestly organises a street racing meeting, I thought we all agreed fatf style was gay...

:werd:

If i was involved, and the media came, i wouldnt just stand there tho. :chairshot :matrix:

As for the police, fcuk the hole 'Pig' thing, its true, there just doing there job.

As for the people that watch illegal street racing, your just as bad, stupid and fcuked as the ones driving.

.............it kinda helps prove the media's point of saying that car enthusiasts shouldnt be let out at night.......

I'd hardly classify street racers as "car enthusiasts".....

An enthusiast is someone who knows and respects the boundaries of their car, and is aware of the fact that public roads were created for travel purposes, and were never intended to be used as a racetrack.

Don't stick entusiasts in the same basket as common hoons.

I think SAU should stop linking to articles like this.. it just makes that particular stories hits/uniques shoot through the roof after every sau user clicks on it 3 times, and makes the media think "Great these car crash stories about skylines are really popular lets make more!"

I would say the media comes here to regularly see the "other" side of the story, and gain an insight into the thoughts behind many of the actions..

Just like the cops do..

Once those types would have never thought about visiting Internet sites. I think know most know that a lot of said activities are planned through certain forums (not SAU)

that's how they (media) see everyone, as the same. with no difference between common hoons and car enthuasists. they have no commercial interests in telling the two apart. allthough there is a difference i agree. but that difference is legally hard to prove and that's where the problem is

i dont know why people arch up so much, they're just VVankers, if having a whinge is what they get a kick out of then good on em, each to their own. they're not the government
