AMBIENT temp button question

For those who have an R32 GTST skyline (Not sure about the R33's)

There is a button on the air con console that says "AMB"

Being the genious that I am, I have worked out that this means AMBIENT temp..

What I would like to know is where the sensor is located?

I am planning on using it to test the temp drops at my air filter when I box it up and cold air feed it.

Anyone help me?

im only guessing but i think it is near the two horns on the bonnet latch support, a little black box.

As clint said I think i is that little black bracket thing near the horns. We should hook it up as an engine monitoring device ie airfilter temp, inlet temp etc. Dont think it would last to long though.

I thought it meant "ambient temperature INSIDE the car"!

so I thought the sensor was near the cigarette lighter, behind the console!

oh well!
