Nismo LSD - which oil??

I'm doing a change of the diff oil in my nismo LSD, and i have no idea what oil to put in it.

I have 3 litres of Castrol SAF-XA 80w140 (bloody expensive!) which i was going to use, i just want to make sure it's the right stuff!!

can anyone help?

Had a look at the data sheet - it's API GL-5 compliant and suitable for hypoid gear systems with or without LSD, so should be fine. IMHO synthetics are overkill for a daily driver, but if your planning on some trackwork they give an extra margin of safety due to higher temp stability.

Thanks for your advice once again SteveL. It's a higher viscosity rating than i was expecting though.

And yes, the car will hopefully see some track work

I only use the LSD oil reccomended by Nismo which is VERUSPEED 80W-90 100 % Synthetic. It is available in Australia and is supposedly the only oil to keep the diff reasonably quiet.

I'm pretty sure PowerPlay Imports on Victoria Rd Drumoyne Sydney , one of the sponsors of SAU sell Veruspeed Oil. I've seen it in in the display cabinet there... I bought a few extra litres of the stuff when i bought my Nismo 2 way from Japan, because i new i would be needing the stuff when run in and general maintenance.
