Vic Roads Inspection

hey, what are people's experiences with VicRoads inspection?

I have the roadworthy and everything, but there are a couple of obvious small things that my mechanic has missed - i'm just wondering if i should fix them anyway

When they look at the car at vicroads, do they go over it with a fine tooth comb? or do they just check the vin number etc?

take it to greensbourough Vic Roads, they are usually to busy and dont even go outside to look at the car. but when i swapped engines, all they did was look for the VIN and that was it

I registered an unregistered car last year, all vicroads looked at was the chassis and block numbers.

Yeah all they do is check numbers, so just make sure they are easy to see.

grr just heard back from my mechanic that car wont be ready today, so looks like i'll need to get inspection done next week anyway

only other thing they checked on my car was the tyres were dot approved

Go to any vicroads on a week day between 12.30pm-1.30pm they are so busy they dont give a rats ass especially if its clearing a bogus canary
