Hi

can someone advice me how to restart apexi fc??? i have tryed to unplug batterys but there is no changes... please help me

hi

its covered in the powerfc faq but to reset it ;

ETC, DATA INIT, choose YES, press NEXT

power the car off

next time you power the car back on perform the self idle learn procedure (also in the powerfc faq under install)

hi driftmiester,

no it wont, its just normal detonation occuring

follow the standard guidelines in the powerfc faq on how to debug knocking

no the z32 afm just allows for more tuning resolution and nothnig else, its the same size as the standard rb25 AFM so it wont add power

Thanks heaps Paul. You hv been a great help.

Im now saving up a Datalogit & probably a wideband, this way i will be able see more stuff with the laptop. Currently using the Apexi Turbo timer which also shows the A/F ratio but not very accurate.

Just wondering, did apexi make power fc's for automatic skylines?

no there isnt an auto skyline version of the powerfc

there is for toyota however as lots of toyota's are auto and i guess the code/logic is maybe a bit easier

hey paul, i just recently had a PFC + HC intstalled and tuned on my RB25DET, it was ok for the first week, but now im getting knocking anywhere from 80 to 130 when i plant it.. the weather has got warmer, and at night time i dont get much knocking at all if any.. is there any way i can fix this?

hi,

just read the faq, its covered numerous times

look under technical issues

Hi Paul

Just checking whether under the SETTING for AIRFLOW, does the Power Intake refer to those ER34 who has changed to after market filter cone type? A friend of mine read it somewhere in the Japanese version manual indicated this. Just want to double confirm.

yes you can choose the power intake when you change the airfilter but its not required

    • Hi soviet_merlin, We appreciate your concern regarding this possibly being some sort of PR/Political hype, I assure you that is not the case, I wish we could claim something like that, but in this case, we merely reached out for comment on the basis of the outrage we too felt, as those heavily in the automotive industry. Ps. the original source in the social media post is CarExpert not CarExplore.    Best, CE.
    • Made a bit of a discovery, but while I was cruising, I randomly decided to test to see if it worked and it showed up on my IC7. The entire time I tested it before, I never thought to turn the ignition on. I only tested it with head lights turned on but with the ignition off. Huge oversight on my end. I’m a dummy. I know.
    • G'day all, I have drilled and tapped the hole for the relocation of the timing belt tensioner. That was straight forward. I'm unsure if I need to also put another hole for the smaller stud that the spring behind the tensioner catches on (this is how it seems to work in its original spot). Or do you not use the spring behind it and just torque it down? Thanks in advance, I did a search but couldn't find anything related and it doesn't mention it in the rb30det sau guide.
    • Hi All,  just thought I would provide an update as I know smooth (Matt) was on this forum from 2003.    my brother Matthew passed away end of may 2024 at the age of 41 from liver failure. I am not sure how many of his original team krazy friends are still on here or active but thought it reasonable to let the forum know.    if you have any photos or pictures it would be great if you could share them.    it took me a while to work out he was active on here.    thanks so much
