DIY Dump pipe

hey im making up a dump pipe for a r32gtst turbo on my 1.6l honda. iam having a seperated waste gate dump then going back into the main dump further down. I want to no what size to have the wastegate dump, my main dumps in 2.5inch and i brought some 1 1/4inch (28mm) for the waste gate dump. Will this be too small?

They have some photos of the front/dump pipes that they make.

Wastegate pipe looks to be about 1/2 to 1/3 the size of the main pipe.
