hey all,

i know im prolly not the best person to organise this but smeh. after a talk with jayce today i thought id start a thread about ideas for dates and places for another photoshoot. places to meet, places to eat (i can rhyme fo shizzle ma nizzle dizzle) but most important places TO TAKE PHOTOS  . so yer. post ya ideas and then i guess we'll get a good day etc where we have every1's cars and no stuupid utes turning up lol.

only real idea i have to put forward is that we take photos etc before we have a bbq so we dont have less cars for photos. maybe meet somewhere in the city. take photos areound somewhere (ideas again) then cruise somewhere for a bbq. sort of like a planned route etc. eg. meet, photots, go to ...., more photos, go to .... 4 photos, move for more photos then head somewhere close to last destination for a bbq

so ideas any1. dates, places, what to do, times, what to eat/drink, and yer

am i making sense lol??

as a side note i'd like to get some of our cars at Ed's one evening and put 3 skylines up on the hoists and have 3 below them and line the rest up in front, as per Richards and my discussion a few months ago. It would look awesome and Ed can use it in his advertising someday if he chooses to.

and regarding photoshoots, new parliment house is always a good bet, or parked and lined up on anzac parade, hmmmm.....try and find a nice body of water somewhere and line the cars up there also.

ill do it for nothing, oh and for places to go well let me see. Most areas are still burnt out. Arrr there would be the molongo river nice and green and some water there. I also know a secret area down by the lake where a coppers log comes out.

I have worked in and on those bldings, if we stay away from the major arears all should be fine, eg main doors (which you cant get a car any where near there) drive ways, and crap like that, they wont care to much.

I work very close to the 'budgie on a stick' at Russell offices and have just got off the phone to the afp guys in regards to this. basically there isnt a prob with us using the area for a photo shoot as long as no direct pics are taken of the buildings. Cos I asked, I am now the point of contact for this (if it even goes ahead) , if we do go ahead, I have to send off an email with a few basic details, such as time, day, approx nbrs etc etc.

The corvette car club have been there before without a hassle, so we will be sweet too.

Cheers, Kate.

Thats right we can just move some of the shot to richards place so as his car can be involved. I am not joking either. :P

the 33gts-t is still faster than a busted 32gtr...sorry richard, had to say it ;)

i aint saying nothing...... (HARSH!!!!)

and also it would be cool to involve sinista in the photo shoot (almost like, its down but not out :P) but i dont think it wud be great for all cars to be getting photos there unless anyone knows a real nice place to be taking photos in jerra? there are a couple hills but i dunno any that have good views. alternatively we just tow sinista to a hot spot :)(id be happy to chip in money for a tow if no one here had a tow truck) what does everyone want in there background? what about a night photo shoot with the night life in the background? we need alot of light for the cars though, just ideas

    • So to further complicate things or hopefully explain better: This is a VDO sensor. It clearly does this math inside the gauge itself... because it displays a temperature in C to me instead of a voltage. The signal wire to the gauge is in Volts, not Ohms. I have just teed into this and sent it to the ECU. ChatGPT spat this out: Temperature (°C) Thermistor Resistance (Ω) Voltage Output (V) -40 36563.56 4.973962698 -35 26284.63 4.963854097 -30 19149 4.950518086 -25 14127.68 4.933166097 -20 10504.68 4.910527969 -15 7721.35 4.879055954 -10 5720.88 4.838133512 -5 4284.03 4.786165799 0 3240.18 4.721119717 5 2473.6 4.640900563 10 1905.87 4.543692515 15 1486.65 4.429695182 20 1168.64 4.296344225 25 926.71 4.144091368 30 739.98 3.972492431 35 594.9 3.782907287 40 481.53 3.577860996 45 392.57 3.361217186 50 322.17 3.136573398 55 266.19 2.908608143 60 221.17 2.68039363 65 184.72 2.455599277 70 155.29 2.239608872 75 131.38 2.035132288 80 112.08 1.846579676 85 96.4 1.674774149 90 82.96 1.511882199 95 71.44 1.359001674 100 61.92 1.222169588 105 54.01 1.100403407 110 47.24 0.989775394 115 41.42 0.889528391 120 36.51 0.800974069 125 32.38 0.723478416 130 28.81 0.654148313 135 25.7 0.591893137 140 23 0.536380597 145 20.68 0.487551867 150 18.59 0.442640126 155 16.74 0.40213318 160 15.11 0.365841848 165 13.66 0.333073247 170 12.38 0.303758956 175 11.25 0.277572169 180 10.24 0.253917873
    • Can you measure resistance between the pin you're wiring to, and the sensor ground?
    • Not 10 out of 10 crap. But just so......disappointingly....bleh. Just didn't do anything well. Everything was bland. Didn't even have a long enough life to justify the ongoing daily disappointment. Although I was so happy to see them go that I'm glad they didn't last longer.
    • Not enough to make any difference at all.
    • Don't they cool down technically when you're sitting at a set of lights?
