Hey there,

What are your experiences with dyno places around Perth? What are most accurate dyno places and cheapest, i been to Speedworks ($200/hour) and Rotomotion ($110/hour) and i got 97kW and 101kW though with different setups on my Cordia (i know it's not a skyline but next one should hopefully be)...so how these dynos compare with other u had experience with and which dyno places offer only dyno runs?

other thing at Rotomotion i got only power line diagram, while at speedworks i got also air fuel ratios throughout rev range, torque, boost levels etc so i found rotomotion dyno bit more useful

regards

end of the day a dyno is a tuning tool. if your interested in a max power figure you know there are places which can arrange for that. if you want to see afr's, boost levels, torgue lines etc, then go to a dyno place that can do this for you. also make sure your paying a good price for what your getting.

Hmmm, what are you after??

We can give you any power figure you want, but that is not the point. Run out of shootout and we can gain HP without touching the car........

As Teejay rightfully explains, it is a tuning tool and what counts is the times around the track/down the strip. It is amazing the cars that have huge HP numbers that don't equate to 1/4 mile top speed results.

As said on numerous other threads, stick with the same dyno that is repeatable and do a series of mods you have discussed with your tuner/mechanic.

Cheers

Ken
