Tyre recommendation

Can anyone recommend a tyre or good deal on a quality set of tyres?

I'm looking for something that will work well on the street and for MC motorsport.

After 40,000kms on the Sumitomo HTR II's that I put on I cannot wait to send these to the bin. As tyres for a trailer they would be ideal.

I have been recommended Continentals or Hankook KT104 (But then the same guy recommended the Sumitomos)

Any experiences welcome

honestly give a set of federals a go(ss-595 from memory) just trying a set on the R and unbelievable grip ,not sure how long they will last.

I've had good luck with Falkens, I've had the FK451 (skyzerr33 bought a set also) and the Azenis ST115. At about $300 a tyre though you may be after something a bit cheaper.

I've got some AVS sport Yokies on the front and some simex things on the back, I rate the yokies but not the simex.

yeh .. as said in that post.. i got 2x 265x35x18 and 2x 245x45x18 for $1050 actually. Would reccommend them too, heaps better than the sumitomos and hankooks ive had on the back previously

i recently bought a pair of Falkens, not sure the model number was around $200 each tho (235,45,17) anyway these tyres are a total P.O.S! i hate these with such a passion that i will never ever buy falkens again.

dont get me wrong these tyres are fine in the dry, but as soon as any water is on the road it becomes are slippery as ice! i have to drive even worse then a granny when in the wet.

if u want i'll find out the model number but i'll never trust my life with these tyres. i'm about to buy some hankook to swap over because they are so bad.

thats my 2cents anyway
