HELP - Problem coming on boost

Morning All,

I've run a search on my problem, but there is nothing which matches exactly. I would my boost last week with a blled valve up to approx 9 psi. Was running fine until about a week later, started to lose power when boosting. It still boosts up to about 6 psi with the factory soleniod, but doesn't feel like the car is going anywhere. Off boost is still great. I have removed the GFB bleed valve and connected the factory soleniod, no change. I have disconnected the factory BOV, no change. Idle is fine, and I have checked most of the hoses between turbo and intake. Someone suggested to me it may be seals in the end tanks of the factory cooler? Any ideas?

Yup check your timing.

I had a few things fixed only a month ago, car felt great! Took it to UAS to put on the dyno just to be sure and lucky coz it only made 172rwkw. Had the timing fixed and it jumped up to 198rwkw

Would it still be a timing problem if the car ran sweet for a week on the higher boost level. Can it deviate like that?

Can assist, may have to check a number items. Cya 33 also located North Brisbane

Check the error codes on the computer. If you are getting a detonation code, it has probably dropped to the low octane fuel map and needs to be reset.

What gap are u running on ur spark plugs. DId u gap them down when upping the boost?

Didn't touch the spark plugs when upping the boost. Probably should have hey?

I think timing as well.

Ok so I worked out what is was. The frickin cat. Dropped it out and hacked away all the honeycomb (which had bunched together), and no more problems coming on boost.

GOing to get dump pipe, front pipe and cat tomorrow.
