R34 - newer, better handling. I have seem a kremer engined 911 turbo and it was the fastest accelerating car EVER!!! very nice..., but $$$$

R34 as it is newer, better response and handling, greater ability for HP upgrade and there lots of go fast avaliable for a reasonable price.

Porsche has light switch power delivery and light switch handling on the limit, expensive for go fast parts and limited shops to work on them. Aircon in them is only so so and they all are getting a bit long in the tooth.

To get a 4wd 996 style one to compare apples with apples will cost about twice what a R34 GTR is worth. Spend the same money on the GTR and the Porsche guys won't see you for dust and small stones..

1989 Porche against a 1997-2000 R34 GTR the GTR for sure and all the reasons already mentioned.

now 1999 911 Twin Turbo, if money wasn't a factor and repairing, the 911 no questions asked.

How much do the 1989 911 Turbos go for?

I saw one to import that was priced at $29000, that's alot less than a 34 GTR.

Personally, I'd take the porsche, if it were around $30000, cause it's a porsche.

75k - 95k depending on condition and level of mods? (and where you purchase from...)

definetly the R34 you cant compare an 89 model porshe with an 98-01 GTR,
