I bought my previous bar and plate from ARE - exceptional performance.

They are distributing some Chinese intercoolers - look like hybrid style.

The page may help you identify the cooers they consider a bit better quality

  All good mate I'm mostly leaning towards the CANBUS differences being the problem. My arduino adapter is en route so I will report back.
