Help! Car just cuts out

Ok,

today i was driving my car and all of the sudden it just die, the engine just turn off, i wasnt driving the car hard or anything just normal crusing alone at 60. so i stop and check all the i/c piping to make sure that wasnt the problem, then try to start it up and it started up perfectly are ran fine.

anyone got any idea of what it could be

i had an fmic install yesterday and a new fuel pump put in on saturday

also i dont know if these helps but it was a very hot day today 38 and i was running 0.8bar (12psi)

ok it happen again, 2night i was driving the car hard (12psi) 6000rpm 1st gear etc etc, and the car die, turn the key about 5seconds after it die and it started again

mate i had a simular problem i fink i know wat it is

do u have an aftermarket temp gauge

cause the standard on aient accurate

my problem was the raditor core was gone cause the car to get to hot and then shut itslef off i think the ecu controll it

get a temp gauge if u dont have one?? if so wat reading????

hey evl, i only have the stock temp gauge, and its reading half-way when it happens. im not to sure if that is my problem as i didnt have this problem before the fmic was installed, i think its boost related as i have been running 0.8bar (12psi) both time, i have now turn it down to 0.7bar and i will wait to see if it happens

maybe your air flow meter has been touched and the plug not put back in properly.

start your car, open bonet, then touch the AFM plug and see if the car stalls.

ok just checked all the afm plugs and they are all pluged in thats not the problem

Check the computer for error codes.

so you fiddled with the plug while the car was running and it didn't stall right?

yeap it didnt stall, i just move the plugs around etc and the car was fine :S it didnt do it all 2day but i turn the boost down to 0.7bar which im guessing is around 10psi

My car was cutting out like this and it was a broken solder joint inside the AFM.

i dont think its AFM related as it only happen after my FMIC/Fuel Pump was installed

Can you check the fuel pump wiring

falcon, the fuel pump was a direct bolt on so i just unplug the plug from the stock one and plug it into the new one

check the fuel relay wiring and the connection to your fuel pump.
