I love how the comparison is between a 7 to 10 year old car and a brand new (is it even out yet?) car.

1994 Clubsport is how quick?

There are also these things called corners which some of us like.

Haven't read the rest of the thread yet, but these 2 things are what came to my mind first of all as well

SkylineKiller - You must be some kind of hero.

And people that drive Commodores wonder why they have the reputation that they have.

Does your mum have to change your pants for you when your brain dribbles out your ass from thinking too hard?

C'mon guys leave 'Fireblade Jay' alone, I'm sure his bogan (16yo) girl loves him in his sailor uniform...haha as if you'd put that on your homepage LOL...shame the site has exceeded its data transfer I wanted a new avatar

Man, the Holden guys are all the same. Even when I had the Mustang, they'd say "it's still only a Ford". Then you would start to give them shit when Ambrose won and all of a sudden they are silent until " well, Holdens have won for the last few years". Just do what the XR6t guys do and just ignore them

I have not laughed that hard in ages. I actually showed your responses Bogan Eater to some of the "V8" guys over here.

Now have you heard of Summit Racing??? They won Pro Tock in the US again. Now there are some floors in your arguement.

1. You have made no sense, no definitive point and certainly no evidence

2. The amount of money you have spent on your engine alone would be the cost of a skyline, plus performance parts to bring it to the same level

3. Holdens should be compared to their domestic competitors, such as Ford who have better performance figures, build quality and overall value for money.

4. Next time I want an over-equiped boat towing bucket of crap then I will buy a HSV, until then I have a big enough dongle not to require a bigger donk.

5. My dad introduced me to drag cars when I was 6 I love cars, and you comparing a Keith Black to a GTR engine is just stupid as you are comparing something engineered specifically for drag racing and then something out of the factory for the domestic market. And as other have pointed out already, a trap speed of 119mph is lucky to get you into the 13's ass

6. The chick in the photo looks like she's 16 and would suck anyone's dick for a fix

7. 90% of my mates work in workshops that use V8's, and they respect cars you have no respect for anything

8. You have some sort of mental problem were you dick has obviously shrunk and you cannot find it, and as such have a need to divert your anger.

9. Your an angry angry little man

10. And just for the record my first car was a VK, which I dropped a 350 Chev into. Now that thing was quick, but the last time I checked fuel prices were no longer 58c like they were back then and the efficiency of the RB engines still surpasses most engine of today...what can you say about the VORTECH supercharged 5.7 that you are throwing around. Last time I checked the horsepower heroes was turbocharged, and that was 1200HP...not street driven...

Lastly, but not least of all...I hope you sleep well at night cause you really are an unintelligent, small minded person who should have been strangled at birth.

lmao fmd  this has to be the best comment yet by far !

Thank you its been a long day...and I have to add...

Dear Mr HSV Lover Lover

Do you honestly think before you type or is that 16 year old typing for you...and at the end of the day, shit happens the world turns around and there is ALWAYS someone with more money and is going to be quicker...

And for the record have you looked at sport compact in the states lately for their times...and most cars use small capacity FACTORY blocks...jackass

Take care MOFO.

Remember, HSV Everyone has one...they just need to put badges on their commodores and most of them do!!!

11.75 seconds on street tyres.

Western Australia's, Skyline KILLER!!!!

Nice $60k or whatever Taxi mate. Very impressive, not. If it was making the power per litre of my 2 ltr then you would have about 11-1200 hp. So much for a v8 being effecient or impressive in any way!

also because you seem blinded by it, the gtr is detuned from the factory something tools like you must get around. A stock gtr is one with a full exaust and computer. Just like i would conisder a stock LS whatever to still be stock if it had and exaust and computer. The factory can only show the potential, and exaust and ecu will quickly show what the car was meant to do without having to be so concerned with driveability, fuel consumtion, power caps, noise etc. stuff

btw the hydratrak in your taxi is a good example of how crap the aussies compared to the japs, i mean in the supercars holden run a ford diff. How fuct up is that.

GMH think gemini :flamed:

You Guys take bait to easily.......it's horses for courses....He Likes holdens (it's not your fault he has bad taste).......we like skylines.....end of story....get over it!!!!

It's not really that important, have some mutual appreciation.....a lot of fun can be had in a V8 too you know

LOL, Nice coment Bobjones, I have two nissans and i will always own a nissan, but my mate has this SS, and even though it's a commo, i still think its tuff, i think you will agree

if you are going to compare a current HSV (which is a specialist tuned holden) to anything skyline it should be compared to the current Nismo Skyline. That is, the Nismo Z-tune R34 GTR. Now that's a worthy comparison, and I know which one I'd have.

yes, I know he's been banned but with such little to do I'd say he's still reading this as a guest...

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
    • That's all good, I thought I was missing some interesting feature! Maybe @PranK can double check if that is something that is meant to be operating or not.
    • I hope that is not something that bad. From what i remember he said that only first gear is "hard" to get in and that he has couple of ideas what to try next but idk 😕  hope it is not gearbox out. I will let you know.
    • If it's not the hydraulics, it is probably gearbox back out. Usually as per @Duncan's post, or otherwise associated with not getting the throwout fork positioned correctly. All the way up to catastrophically bolting shit back together without it being aligned properly and wrecking the clutch/input shaft/flywheel/something else.
