Auto to manual conversion

i just bought an automatic "89 R32 and want to do a manual conversion, can anyone recommend somewhere to get parts and or get the work done???

Why convert to a manual?

Come check out my auto, (I'll take you for a spin) I added a shift kit and its much better. There is a group buy going at the moment on these shift kits through MV automatics (in Belair SA) for $295 which is cheaper than a clutch for the manual.

hey 4door_sleeper how does the car drive like now? i know a guy called gary at MV and i was gonna get him to put the shift kit and hi stall in but haven't done it yet.

Car drives much better, very crisp changes when the foot is planted, yet very smooth for gentle day to day driving.

I haven't put the hi stall in yet, that will be one of my next improvements.

i bought all parts for my manual conversion with my car and got it fitted by trans shop, wasnt much of a headache at all, and do i love it or what!

if your going for a lot of power get a r33 box as the 32 box don't like being treated mean they break easily even on standard power

BWD are probably your better bet there a bit cheaper for drive in drive out and do a better job

been quoted $1800(stock clutch) at fbi if that helps (is this a good quote?) make sure you get a good box I went through two crap boxes in my sileighty before going to D1 and getting a low km s14 one fitted
