Also, had a Bluebird try and race me yesterday...... was just cruisin past him, maybe doin 5km over.... as i pull up level with this bashed up bluebird... he floors it and takes off.. and keeps goin. WTF????

lol its sad, but true. no matter what, you would still get in sh!t for whatever you did wrong. andrew's right the police always win, even if you take them to court because of a speeding fine that they gave you when you werent speeding, if you take them to court you will be spending more money on lawyers and all that sh!t which could cost more than just paying the fine (taken from the story of a WRX in sydney who had GPS in his car which was recorded on his home pc which told him his speed at every moment and he was well under the speed limit... dunno if he won the court case though ) but yeh youd be extremely lucky to beat the cops at there own game. heres some advice (dunno if it will be helpfull though, LOL!)

BTW i saw a white SS cruising through that road out front of hoyts and babar last night between 11.30-12 and there were 4 guys in it (looked ethnic) the SS had really nice chromies and exhaust so i was just looking at the rims as they went past and this random in the back stuck his head out the window and just gave me the eye for about 100m i said to my friend WTF is his problem cause he looked like he had something he wanted to say, dunno if anyone else has seen these guys but the car is white with chromies, lowered, custom exhaust and has a green SS sticker at the bottom of the left hand rear passenger door. wierd....

It was blue, stock looking and stock sounding until he put his foot flat, but it was only a v8 with exaust and a auto. He also just missed another car also, I may have thought about running him but wrong time wrong place.

This one might have been blue actually. It was pretty late at night so might have just looked black.

i remember there being a discussion on one of the national car forums i visit a while ago in regards to entrapment laws, i remember (unclearly) that there was some difference between NSW and ACT laws in regards to this. Would be an interesting thing to find out for sure.....

if a random person drives next to you and eggs you on and you race them off the lights - that's illegal (speeding up to the limit too quickly/breaking traction - which i'm pretty sure are two canberra road laws). it's no different if an undercover eggs you on, and you race him....

lol its funny cause in the logbook for L platers, one of the check boxes is to accelerate to the speed limit quickly and sufficiently, so aslong as you dont go over the speed limit you should be ok right?

there is a law called, accelerating unessicarily, meaning if u take off from a set of lights fast, dump the clutchor spin the wheels etc then its illegal. basically tp cover the comppas if u dont go ova the speed limit

One of my mates got booked for 'excessive acceleration' from a set of traffic lights. This is another area of the laws i find a bit of a grey spot, as he did not spin his wheels or anything. So what is excessive acceleration if they can book you even if your wheels don't spin? This was in a HSV clubsport by the way (his dad's car)

couldn't find anything on entrapment or excessive acceleration, but i'm sure it's there.

A mate of mine received a ticket which reads "Offence = Burnout" lol... We were going to frame it! lol. Just thought i'd throw that in there!
