installing water temp gauge?

I've got a water temperature gauge I'd like to install on the 32 (rb20det).

Where is the best place to install the sender? Mainly it's just to keep an eye on the coolant temps when on the track.

There isn't an extra stock position nissan has provided that is bunged off is there?

Alternatively, does anybody know where I can get a cheap sandwich plate / tube for like $30 that sits in the radiator hose, like I have seen??

I'd make one myself as it would be pretty easy, but unfortunately I don't know how to weld

I'm buying one from Greenline for $50, but I'm sure Crap-o-barn will sell you one for 30 bucks or so... i think for RB motors the radiator attachment is 36mm
