I find in my car (R33) with full 3 inch turbo back exhaust I get the full 7psi of boost at about 2900rpm in 1st and 2nd...and by just over 2000rpm in 4th or 5th gear.

I was hoping to just fit the Norgren pressure relief valve with check valve to get increased response. Would you get full 7psi by 2500rpm in 1st or 2nd with the Norgren anti creep setup?

The setup is seen in autospeed.

Is there a decent gain at part to half throttle etc?

Thanks

Has anyone had any problems with the Norgren valves/regs. I was reading somewhere that they are mostly plastic inside and one melted under the bonnet of a toyota. I also heard the relief valve opens at different psi depending on what gear- eg. 7psi in 1st then 9psi in 2nd etc..

Anybody found this or is it bs?

I guess in the R33 it should be mounted near airbox so shouldn't get too hot., But then I guess it also depends on the temp of the air passing through the valve.

thanks

I had one.

It was actually quite good.

It certainly brought boost on real quick, and after a fair bit of playing and adjusting I got it pretty good.

Get a metal body one and ou should be fine.

If you already have a bleed valve you can just put the relief valve in front of it and try it out.

You WILL need to adjust your bleed valve after you install the relief though.

BASS OUT

I got a similar one from a place near me.

Any Pneumatics place will have something that will suffice.

Just take the Norgren part number with you and get the equivalent.

Can I suggest you guys go to the STAGEA forums on here and read SK's thread on the JAY CAR BOOST controller kit.

he was saying that this kit allows you to bring on boost fast and is the only boost controller EVER that he has seen that can hold the wastegate completely shut until your set boost setting.

considering they cost less than a bleed valve, it could be worth while looking at.
