hey guys,

I am tentatively selling my 180sx, I have decided to "upgrade" to a new car, probably a skyline, supra or gti-r. I quite like my 180sx, I just don't enjoy it as much as I used to and have decided it's time to move on. I'm not in a overly big rush to get rid of it so I'm quite happy to wait until I get the money I want for it. Anyways on to the good stuff.....

Nissan S13 180sx 1992

~106,000km

power steering, power mirrors, power windows, digital climate control.

EXTERIOR

Red wtih custom painted black-roof and bonnet with flames,

17x7inch chrome "concept-7" rims with 205/40/17 tyres,

Rear wing and rear wiper removed, all holes professionally filled and painted,

front air ducts painted black,

tinted rear garnish, lightly tinted front indicators, custom ford courier side markers.

ENGINE

SR20DET blacktop engine from 1997 180sx Type-X (engine changed at 99,999kms, engine had 47,000kms on it)

front-mount intercooler,

Heavy Duty Exceedy clutch,

K&N Panel filter in standard airbox with custom "cold-air" piping to front bar,

3inch exhaust from turbo, highflow cat, 1.5inch muffler at rear for street use (legal limit)

TurboXS Dual Stage boost controller,

TurboSmart Type-III Supersonic BOV.

SUSPENSION

Tein HA Coilovers at all four corners,

Cusco camber tops on fronts,

45mm polish alloy strut braces front and rear.

INTERIOR

Silver AutoTechnica Steering Wheel,

Silver/Black SAAS Gear Knob + Gear Boot,

Red AXS Seatcovers,

Silver/Black Floormats,

Autometer Sport-Comp boost gauge,

Gauge cluster, aircon surrounds sprayed in silver.

STEREO

Clarion dual-face headunit,

Alpine Type-R 6.5inch splits,

2x12inch Clarion DVC subs in sealed enclosure,

Captec V-Net 4x150wrms amp,

7inch LCD screen + DVD player.

Overall the car is pretty good conition, has a few small dents for day to day use but as with most cars are hardly noticeable unless caught in the right light up close. Interior is awesome condition for it's age. Currently the aircon has been removed as I was not able to get it regassed after purchasing the car, all the parts are still in my shed and would be quite easy to reinstall, it was just removed as it was easy to do when we were doing the engine swap. Current engine has not had the boost level raised at all, it's currently boosting at 8psi and running very very smoothly, engine has only been in the car for around 5months.

I also have alot of spares sitting around that I am quite happy to see go with the car if you are interested in them, these including a redtop sr20det (with ecu and wiring harness), k&n pod filter with adaptor, white faced gauge template, second sr20det complete head, veilside-ish wing and various bits and pieces like pumps, alternators, fans etc. Also have cannon muffler that has a flange bolted to it, the 1.5inch muffler is able to be unbolted and the cannon fitted at anytime by anyone, I added this feature for the ability to pass epa testing

I'm looking for around $17500 for the whole lot, I may be a bit negotiable on price but don't want to drop to far. May also consider swap for other cars, preferably 90+ coupe, turbo (supra, skyline, gti-r, turbo pulsar etc etc)

you can contact me via PM or at [email protected]

haven't had the car dyno'd but as an estimate I would say around 140rwkw. Most of the work has been done by myself and a mechanic friend with the custom fabrication by a local welder and paint work done by a local panel beater.

Rego is to March 23rd....but will discuss this further with a buyer if bought before rego is added.

    • ..could be worse... but out here, renting private affords some luxuries ...we've even been told the Sept dateline isn't critical, and I'd rather move stuff in the cool of winter, than slogging it out in the heat. Recall we were talking about the million dollar view this place has?...that's what he got for it... (won't be so nice when the quarry happens at the back in the future...lol..)... ...cool, I'll stick the wiper motor in a wee box...umm.... the pinny is GLX trim ~ I think that's about as close as it gets to Silo spec when it comes to the S2 pinny...ie; electric mirrors etc etc...dunno about the trip computer/wiring...I do electronics repair, I'd be willing to take a look at it for you. As you saw, all the dash is there in that car..and thinking about it, it'd be easier to pull the whole center section out, rather than just the ashtray and rails, but your call...
    • The "sacrifice of low end" is now basically irrelevant in 2025. Turbo/ecu/fabrication/and other tech advancements gives a vast array of options to mitigated any of it. My setup now is a fantastic example of this. 300whp / 20psi @ 3500rpm from a 600hp turbo setup on a notoriety low reading Dyno Dynamics roller dyno, is almost unmatched on all of SAU and other forums. The only other turbo i've seen that can achieve this is a BW EFR + twin scroll / twin gates etc etc etc... ps. tuned by Matty Spry at P.I.T.S as far as getting to the 600 figure, while enlarging your itb's alone probably won't get you there, as Sucram has stated above, it will certainly help. Just do it Predator1 my brother hahaha 🙂
    • I use Taaarks/efi solutions ones. Years, and no issues.
    • At the Botany heavy vehicle inspection centre. At the time there were only 2 locations that did IM240 testing for free, the other location was at Penrith. I did a quick google, seems like the Botany and Penrith inspection centre is closed now though About an hour of my time.  At the time you could. They are closed now   No it was Government run, the site was attached to the RTA from memory. The guys running it at the time were awesome, if you didn't pass the test, they handed you the results and said make changes to your car/tune and have another go later. You drove in registered, failed, and drove out registered.   Obviously though if you were defected, sent there, failed. You remained unregistered.  From my 5 minutes of research (have a look at the date on my test results) looks like things have changed. So, I can't see any way to get this test done for free now Seems like you'll need to call around the engineering places doing the Vehicle Safety Compliance Certification Scheme or call around workshops with a dyno and try and get a RG240 test. No idea how expensive that is though or how easy it is to find a place offering it.  Bit depressing learning about this now. The first car I had engineered in NSW cost me about $250 all up.... So kids these days can't buy houses, looks like getting your car legal and engineered in NSW is another thing on the list of things they can't afford. Great.
    • That makes sense. Thanks!
